What Saints Fans are Saying

Exactly, that's guys terrible in coverage, Gronk beat him like a drum repeatedly so he had to cheat to win and has continued to do it and getting flags picked up. I'm sure Payton will address that with refs before game so they are aware he commits PI to avoid continuing to get beat. That Saints fan was pretty far off.

You base this on the one play you've ever seen of Kuechly in coverage.

Wait, are you trying to bring up something that happened in previous years games? Well your fellow fans can let you know how much of an idiot that makes you, I mean to say otherwise would be hypocritical and none of the people here ever are hypocritical.

You are quoting two or three different people, you know that right? No one here contradicted themselves but you.

Hop along now

Bryce Harris has filled in fine at Tackle, but the Saints Oline is centered around their guard play, not tackles so it definitely is NOT huge or even close.

In 39 dropbacks, Brees was pressure 13 times and only sacked once. He had time to throw most of the game, just defense was lined up perfectly to defend what they were trying to do, and that was with Saints turned one dimensional and Hawks only playing pass most of the game meaning they had all their speed rush guys on field since they didn't need to worry about run,.

Actually every time Brees got pressure from the outside last night, he folded like origami. Exactly why losing your #1 OT will end up being a bigger deal than you think. Go back and watch the film and see how many times Harris got beat by a sub par pass rush..... but I'll let you continue to live in fantasy land.

Ever heard of a stack formation? Hard to get a jam when they aren't even lined up on LOS, further, Wallace beat him repeatedly on double moves when Capt tried to jump the curl and he went on a go. Also, they were on two deep zone on last play and Wallace would have caught the game winning TD with a better throw. Mitchell has been targeted 24 times and has allowed 18 receptions with zero passes defended the whole year and 8.8 yards per throw with 89 yards after catch and -0.4 overall grade. Not sure I would brag about this guy preventing the deep throw.

So....do you want us to do some would have could of stuff to explain how you could of lost to Atl, Tampa, etc?

Actually, Luke had perfect coverage on that play.... Why he even bothered to touch him is the question.

Beat him like a drum? You realize facts and that game don't support that....wishful remark

Gronk was 1 catch for 1 target for 23 yards

Thompkins was 1-1 for 37 yards

Amendola was 1-1 for 9 yards

Vereen was 1-2 for 11 yards, the only catch not made was the one that hit him in hands and was recorded as a drop,

So with that drop, Keuchly earned a -2.7 pass coverage grade and 17 yards a catch and Brady has a 118 passer rating when throwing his way.

For the season, on 50 targets, Keuchly has allowed 39 catches, a 78% completion rate with only a single pass defended! He gives up and average of 9.3 yards per catch and has 183 yards after catch.

But yeah, stats don't support him not being good in coverage. Yep

Harris gave up 1 hurry in 22 snaps.

My point had ZERO to do with how they almost lost the game, it has to do with panthers secondary repeated inability to cover speed guys in back to back to back weeks, Thompkins, Wallace, Underwood. Jackson, etc. and probability they will have same issue with Saints speed receivers and one of the most accurate QBs in league throwing to them.

wait, are we letting The Fat troll the main boards now? we know his schtick of selective stats and ignoring rebuttals. and does he really represent what Stains fans are saying or is he just living his life to the fullest here on ze Huddle?

My bad, figured people would want the Saints fans view in a thread about Saints fans views, silly me, I'll go!

PFF is good and bad....

A lot of there grading is utter poo....coaches will review a botched play and assign faults entirely different.

And Luke rarely man's up on anyone. There grading of zone coverage isn't worth treating as the gospel or arguing against it.

A lot of what Carolina does on D in addition is giving opponents certain completions. They don't try to take away all throws....by design they are suppose to allows certain throws and eliminate the YAC.

All that said, Luke isn't a coverage player.....he is a beast at destroying and blowing up what is in front of him. That would be your run, dink and screen game. You heavily rely on that screen bullpoo..... Luke eats that junk up.

Panthers allowed 370 on 61 plays with 6.1 yards per play, while Saints gave up 429 on 69 plays for 6.2 yards per play, so 6.1 vs 6.2 yards per play, not such a huge difference considering this one of our worst games in history.

34 points vs 12 points. We fumbled on the 6 with 5 minutes to go and gave the game away. Proceeded to piss the bed again the Bills. Everyone has their day, we had ours again Arizona and have been on fire every since.

One thing you can't discount, we are 14-3 in the past 17 games, you are 4-3 in your past 7.

youre more a troll than a saints fan, and all you are doing is what you do in the smack forum referring blindly to stats that hardly matter.  you can't talk football unless there is some stat tied to it you read on some random site somewhere.  and you are saying the stains will win because of a couple wr's that run 40 yards milliseconds faster that our db's.  sure, we'll probably give up a long pass once or twice in our game but it wont be enough for your silly stat-driven team to come up with what matters most, the W.
