Tiny dick man. That's it. Russell is a cornball and that's what Boomer likes. A traditionalist who is blinded by how someone as black as Cam could shine so bright. Too bad he hasn't watched any of the press conferences this year to draw conclusions from.

Don't attack Russell Wilson, he carries himself a certain way and I commend that. Boomer does come across a bit like that though.

Crazy thing is, boomer is not the only one of his kind in the media with such rationale, that's why Cam hasn't been given all the accolades he deserves. There is a reason Cam was selected as top 50 player last year even on 7-9 team. I'd take the words of current players any day over those grumpy media types.

Just saying I think that Boomer sees it that way. I personally respect both of them but to claim that he knows a personality based on pressed conferences....just something about his attitude.

I agree with you about Boomer, there is something personal he has against Cam that is personal. Especially when he references press conferences from last season which in all honesty is a much a do about nothing

The way Boomer went after Cam was very personal. Very Nolan Nawracki like. He didn't bring up his accuracy, he brought up press conferences. He didn't bring up his turnovers, he brought up his Super Man celebration. Boomer knows in his heart that Cam is a damn good player but he's clinging to these personality issues. This is about Boomer, don't be confused. This is about Boomer saying "I didn't have talent like Cam but I was a good locker room guy. I was a leader and gave good press conferences." "The way I did things was the right way". These retired athletes never lose their ego.

I'm not sure this is related in any way but I once heard Boomer tell a story about Cam. Boomer said he was helping out with a QB camp for young men. Cam was 13 years old at the time and had a cannon even then. Boomer was throwing some balls and dropping them in a trash can with accuracy. Cam said to him "wow sir you should have played football. You are pretty good at that". Cam had no idea who Boomer Esaison was...

 

Now I'm not going to sit here and say Boomer was petty because a kid didn't recognize him. But it's still a funny story.

Seahawks fans gonna have their jimmies Russell'd about this one.  Pretty much everybody takes Cam except Boomer (who spews straight crap).

Boomer, and Phil Simms, who to me, are both interchangeable douchebags that are bitter because they sucked and no one would remember them if it wasn't for their horrible play by play.

He was really way too interested in the position he took. Almost like he bet his 10 year olds puppy on it. I don't believe what I said in the original post, it was just a play off of all the misconceptions out there.

In my opinion, Cam has a public speaking phobia of sorts. He doesn't seem outwardly uncomfortable but the way he mixes up his words shows he is uncomfortable with it. Talking heads will use this to say he isn't all there up stairs, but there is no correlation between play on the field and public speaking ability.

Cam is a country boy, I have no problems with that. He is an hellacious football player though, has a very high football IQ and instinct.
