I always think about this.. all the young QBs and never changed my mind about Cam being number one.. Even if he wasn't on this team I think he is the best pick for a team. 

 

heres my list of who if I were a coach I would want to be my QB

Wilson

Luck

RG3

Kaep

I agree, his physical gifts are far beyond what every one else has to offer

 

He has a very high football IQ and great football instincts

Gonna go off on a wild ride so bear with me. I like to use the analogy of super heroes when it comes to the young QBs. Yep, Cam truly is Superman. Everybody knows that he's the most talented and will be the best, but don't wanna give him his props. Instead, they pull out other guys who are supposedly better than him and minimize his accomplishments. Granted, he's a brawler and not as smoothe as Batman (Russell Wilson), or as hyped as Captain America (Andrew Luck). Neither is he as popular with the kids as Spiderman (RG3) or privileged to have nice toys like Iron Man (Kaepernick). But his blend of abilities are unlike any other QB in the league. Combine that with his progression as a cerebral QB and his desire to win....It won't be long before he completely dominates the NFL. He's really good now and has plenty to work on. Imagine when he gets better weapons and blocking on offense...

 

I'm just glad he's on our side...lol :D

Couldn't you had kept it all DC or Marvel, and not had cross pollinated (though I know Superman the others you mentioned, provided  the best examples for)?   :cool: That's almost blasphemy. Plus, DC is corny.

Shocked to see RW with more rushing yards.

 

Trying to see it through uninterested observer eyes and right now it is a tough question.  But a good problem to have.

 

Interesting that Cam is back in the equation(s) again..... as recently as 2-3 weeks ago it would have been RW vs. RGme or Luck with no mention of Cam at all.

Wilson has more rushes, less TDs. I'll take Cam and the TDs.

If we didn't have Cam, I'd want Wilson. He is mini-Cam/Jake rolled into one.

Cam was never far from the picture. Once the wins started coming, he move back into the conversation. Everyone pretty much agrees. Cam gonna blow poo up. It was just a matter of time.

Hellz, Cam getting MVP love. It truly boogles the mind how much wins seem to mean to a lot of folks. In the ultimate team sport, being judged by wins alone seems rather simplistic. But hey, what do I know, I still remember watching the Beatles on Ed Sullivan, in black and white.

Boomer is acting like an old cry baby.  I dont like it when guys celebrate so I think they think its all about them.  I want the NFL to be like it was 30 years ago when people did not celebrate so much.  Forgeting about the fun bunch,  the smurfs,  and group celebrations like that which you can't do now.  

The bottom line to me is I see Russell Wilson as a finished product.  An excellent quaterback but I think he is hitting his head on his celiling right now.  I don't think he will ever be much better than he is right now.  Very good but what you see now is the best you are going to ever get from him.

Cam, if he can read defense a little quicker and fix his mechanics, I dont know that there is a celiling for him.  Think Vick that could complete 65% of his throws and did not get hurt.  I don't know that he will get there but he could.   

Hey, I'm old school. In my day, there were no 300 LB guys out there. The QB only had 1 face bar. Defenses were nasty. Gas was 18 cents. And you got a penny back from a dollar on a Whopper Combo Meal. "Here's a penny, you can keep it. Here at Burger King, you won't need it. Cuz here at Burger King. You can have it your way."

Now, where was I? Oh yeah, celebrations. As long as they fit the play, I got no problem with em'. Make a great catch, do a little dance. Grab a sack, flex those toids. Cam is not the only one that does the point after a first down. Superman is for big plays and TDs. You don't break it out for just any ol' thing.

I hate showboats, and showoffs. They cheapen the product.

Keep it fun, keep it quick, keep it clean. That's all I ask.

I think Russel has a better offense all around. Better line, better star Running back. I'd even take their receivers with Steve getting old. I'd take our TE and Fullback.

On the topic of Russell Wilson, I'd take him in a heartbeat over RG3, Luck, Kaepernick, Tannehill, Dalton, Ponder, etc. He (along with Cam) rank right up there in the best young QBs discussion. I love that kid. I'm glad he got a starting gig instead of being our back up to be honest.

I can see a Cam Wilson rivalry brewing. Like Manning Brady. Sea. and us are both young teams. We could be butting heads for pretty long time. Might be fun.

Yeah, if we didn't have Cam. I'd want Russell.

As of right now Cam has about 40 more rushing yards and 5 more rushing tds. Russell still has to play tonight tho. The only beef I have with Cam these days and what's keeping him from being Elite is that one or two times a game he makes some dumb ass decisions. He's so much better than that.

I actually think he would have more td passes and yards if our defense wasn't shutting teams out. A lot of games this year have been over well before the 4th quarter, to the point where we aren't even throwing the ball anymore.

Your only "Beef" with Cam, is erratic decision making? Never been, never gonna be, the perfect QB. Cam is going to go beyond that. The Cam effect in full bloom. Rules will be changed, stats will be modified, new standards will be set, all doubterz will be smited, and the legends will begin to take root. The Cam effect.

Good point about putting teams away early. We tone down the Offense. It does have an adverse affect on Cam's ability to rack up stats. Although I don't for a minute believe that missing out on a few garbage time scores is going to keep Cam out of the HOF.

But then again, those kind of things are best left to retirement. Stats are for fans and contract talks. Records are for keepsies. You'll always be able to say, "I own/owned that record.
