this team the best in Panthers history?

Honestly, I still think we're one year away from really seeing what this team is made of.

 

The OL is a problem, but only has one or two holes to fill to completely reverse that notion. Same for the secondary.

 

The team is rallying together and riding on a wave of confidence in its coaching staff and each other. That in itself can propel us far into the playoffs. Knowing what this team can do with this current squad, I think we need one more offseason before we can consider this team as the best in franchise history.

They didn't beat anybody by large margins. Even the bad teams. It would be a close game.

The 03 team would beat this squad handily.

'96 is our best, followed by '03.  '13 has a good shot at topping '05 and '08 for #3 though.  Depending on how things go they could rise on the list too.

But yes I believe this is the best roster put together for this team thus far. It really is mostly Cam, he has elevated the team beyond anything we could ever imagine.

Just wondering what you guys think... looking at the amount of talent this team has on defense and how the offense now has more than just Steve Smith, I have to say yes. Probably won't be considered better than the SB team unless we win it....

 

Ultimate goal of a team is to win the Suberbowl : 2003 Panthers made it but lost. I think this team will win a SB soon and then they will be the best Panther team.

Na.... we would shut down their run game and then put the game on Delhomme's shoulders alone. On top of that Cam would be busting runs all day on 'em. Don't forget we lost to Vick that year.

Davis wouldn't do much this year....less than Tolbert IMO ( Tolbert a better reciever). A prime 89 with Cam would be crazy.

I still would argue if you look at the offensive players around the QB.....2013 is a weaker cast than LOTS of seasons. Not just the playoff teams
