PFT: Florida cornerback Loucheiz Purifoy to enter NFL draft

 

Purifoy is an outstanding athlete who has also played a little wide receiver at Florida and has been a very good player on special teams as a returner, on kick coverage and in blocking kicks. He has the talent to be a first-round draft pick.

In the final game of his college career today, a loss to Florida State, Purifoy had an interception and returned two kickoffs for 45 yards.

 

 

So Gator fans (or haters) tell me what you've seen of this fellow?

Judging from what I've seen from him against Tennessee, a pretty damn fine player. Doesn't take a lot to cover UTs wideouts though.

Would prefer Dennard AND Gilbert based on the little I've seen at this point, but I feel like Purifoy is a potentially lethal version of Josh Norman. Big playmaker in the footsteps of a say Cromartie, but not an incredible cover type corner like Revis.

with better technique he will be a pretty good CB. but at times he relies on his athleticism and gets beat. wonder about his instincts as well, only had like 2-3 picks. could be teams avoided him, but the CBs were no slouches in Watkins and Roberson.Kelvin Benjamin was torching him but KB was also grabbing and getting away with some offensive PIs.

I agree that he'd be tough to pass up in the second round.

Tenn actually does have pretty good WR core.. big fast guys like North... but they have no QB/Line/RB to help them. He did play well against them.

What? they have one of the best lines in the nation, for the most part of last year you could count the number of sacks they gave up on one hand.

I do think their WR are pretty damn good though. I have seen them make some incredible catches.
