If we were 3-8 would you have patience for Cam (be honest)?

Of course most disappeared. The ones still posting pretend to have amnesia, or change the subject when this is brought up to them.

One of my favorites was after cam was drafted he said he was going to take his mother to a vacation and people here flipped the fug out. Oh and that was one of the first times pantherclaw questioned him as a leader of men.

The most embarrassing thing about some Panther "fans" is the blame and criticism we had for him in our own house.  People here would be killling Cam if we were losing, regardless if he had anything to do with our losing, like in our first few games. 

 

For the most part, there are many here who recognized that a QB doesn't win or lose anything alone, defense, special teams, coaching, O-line, etc all factor in, but so many idiots blamed that on the QB. 

 

The fans of the team are always the biggest critics, but for a better indication of a player's perception look no further than what opponents say about Cam, and the majority of the teams in the league would take Cam in a heartbeat.  At least now people are jumping on the bandwagon.

Why wouldn't I?    Winning is a team effort.  

 

 

Be thankful that when Cam's extension comes..........  We'll be paying big for a qb that has almost hit 100 TDs and over 13k yards in just three years. 

 

Opposed to just paying big for a qb that was strictly a game manager most of his career,  and only getting paid big because his team ,  overall,  was great and they won a lot of games..     example:  Matt Ryan and the Falcons.

It's funny how a QB "magically becomes a leader" when his coach is actually doing a good job, and has control of the team. SMH

 

Cam couldn't control Rivera making bonehead decisions that cost the Panthers games his first two seasons; so he's not a leader. 

 

Ironically, both RG3 and Kaepernick were hailed as leaders by the media (when they were actually not), and all of a sudden, when they start losing, you hear all along they were never leaders on the team in the first place, and if anything they're current distractions. Let that be a lesson. 

 

Young players don't magically become leaders the moment they enter the NFL (no matter what the media tells you). That's hog wash. They have to EARN IT (in John Houseman, EF Hutton voice)!! Cam did, to his credit! It wasn't a fake leadership, the ones casted upon RG3, Kaepernick, Luck, etc. That should serve him and his teammates better in the long run, and should be appreciated/celebrated by fans, making any success that much sweeter.

I think people would be more impatient with Rivera.  Cam probably a little bit.  Still inaccurate to compare him with RG3.  By comparison RG3 is frail.  Defenders enjoy hitting RG3.....they're scared of trying to bring down Cam.

And Cam can actually read defenses, and is comfortable in the pocket. 

 

RG3 needs the crutch of a run game, motion and trickery (freezing defenders), or he looks lost. 

 

Note: Many of us noticed, and said all this last year from day one of the 'ahem' "RG3 Era".

Rg3 made the playoffs as a rookie, he is coming off an injury yet people are already writing him off as a bust even after making the playoffs. I can't imagine how people will feel about cam if he were to miss the playoffs 3 consecutive years

Which just proves that a fickle fan base doesn't really know poo. They just bitch and look for scapegoats, see Ron Rivera a couple months ago. Now he is the lovable Riverboat Ron who deserves a contract extension. LMAO.
