I figured with the Canes in the thick of the playoff race, what better time to get the game threads started back... maybe we can eventually get a decent Canes following on this board.

What: Carolina Hurricanes vs. New Jersey Devils

Where: Raleigh, North Carolina (PNC Arena)

When: 7:00 P.M.

The Canes are at home tonight taking on the Devils and with a win they will jump the Rangers for third in the division (the final divisional playoff spot). Carolina is riding a two game winning streak behind their captain, Eric Staal who is on a seven game point streak tallying nine points in his last seven games.

Tonight the Canes will face Cory Schneider after Martin Brodeur gave up four goals two nights ago against the Canes.

In other news, Andrej Sekera will miss his first game as a Hurricane as he suffered an upper body injury in Wednesday's game.

Line Up's

Nathan Gerbe - Eric Staal - Tuomo Ruutu

Jiri Tlusty - Jordan Staal - Patrick Dwyer

Jeff Skinner - Riley Nash - Elias Lindholm

Drayson Bowman - Manny Malhotra - Radek Dvorak

Ron Hainsey - Justin Faulk

Jay Harrison - Ryan Murphy

Brett Bellemore - Mike Komisarek

Cam Ward

Justin Peters

Scratches: None

Suspensions: Kevin Westgarth

Injuries: Alexander Semin, Andrej Sekera, Tim Gleason, Joni Pitkanen, Anton Khudobin

    • Going to put this out now….Koochie shutout tmrw
    • Dude, its 13 points if you think about it. I guess you take away the three since they kicked the FG after the TD no call was upheld, but Eddie missed two very makeable kicks and they can't be whining about the run game since a fumble sealed the game! Starting to think a lot of people around here don't know football. I get it, it's a message board, but they come on and start threads and it seems like they don't watch the games. There are ESPN takes on here with people who are supposed to be diehards.
    • Probably but he has flashed some.  He's a 2nd year player.   Certainly shown that he's an NFL QB.  Almost 3 years older than Bryce so not as much room for growth.   I'd say Bryce has the significantly higher ceiling.     And sure.   I agree.   He needs to continue to show this growth to get people to buy in. The Eagles is an outlier.  That game will be extremely ugly. I think his play has earned him the chance to compete for starting spot next year with whomever the team brings back.   And it has given the team the luxury of not feeling QB desperate in the draft.     ****Unless he completely falls off the planet again and reverts back to what he was, then it's QB time in the draft again***
