Mike Tomlin's Sideline Move

Don't ya love how every former and current coach who's been asked about the incident flatly deny he did it on purpose and there was no intent? Herm Edwards was so much in denial it was comical when he was on Dan Patrick's radio/TV show Monday.

And everyone will go on denying it even though it's been adjudicated and it's in the past. Hell, if I were Tomlin and I've written the $100k check knowing they've already busted me, I'm admitting everything and making it as self-deprecating as possible. We're talking billboard, radio spots...

"Hell yeah I did it. Sh**, we were getting our butts kicked and it wasn't getting any better with that return, so I decided to take one for the team."

Tomlin can't afford to admit it.

He's got a spot on the competition committee, and there's already talk the league might boot him from it because of this.

If he admits it was intentional, they'll bust him for sure.

Honestly, it's pretty obvious to anyone with two eyes that it he meant to do it.

I hate to be the dissenting opinion but I think it was a ballsy move by a coach that wanted to win in a BAD way.

I mean seriously, how many other coaches would put their neck on the line like he did?

Plus, it makes the game soooo much more fun.

If he tried that kinda crap against the Panthers I would be furious. I think hypocrisy is allows when it comes to our boys.

Yeah, I don't want to sound like a square, but cheating is never okay.

word is (via PFT report) that the only way PIT will lose a draft pick is if the lost 4 points cost BAL a playoff berth. Given that that tiebreaker is 8th - not too likely.

Makes sense.

I could still see doing it just as an example though.  That, or bumping Tomlin off the competition committee.
