Wake Fined for no call hit on Cam

ain't enough $$.......................when you have to waste a timeout cause your spitting out teeth.

Nah, no need for exaggeration here - all Cam got was a busted lip.   If you watched the play, it was merely an unfortunate minor injury as the helmet hit Cam's chest and glanced upwards.

It happens to all of us who have played this great game of football at any level - so you just spit it out and keep on playing, just like Cam did.

If an illegal hit injures a player, the fine should be missing the same number of games as the player you injured...as well as those game checks.

That might get some attention.

The rules, while flat with a fine, would vary too much with that rule. Perfect example of how that could be a problem. Say for whatever reason Travaris Cadet gets in the game for the Saints, runs a slant and Luke uncharactersitically launches into him. Cadet is okay to play two weeks from the inititial hit but because the rule chooses to play possum with Cadet in order to hold out Kuechly.

If teams flop for no huddle offenses then I believe this rule would create an unfair advantage in these situations.

While the leg whip was a dirty hit, it was a reaction and not a thought out and calculated hit. Those are worked out in practice. However, the NFL doesn't practice anymore so where are players going to learn to control those reactions? They need to revise the CBA to include more practice time.
