2 more and we should be in, but it's no guarantee. but three more? with 11 wins there's no way we aren't getting in. not this year.

We control our own destiny that's for sure.  It is nice not having to rely on another team's collapse.  But we have to take care of business one game at a time.

I'm referring to the author of the article and anyone else who thinks we are "safely" in the playoffs.

If we lose tomorrow and the 9ers and Cardinals win this week then all of a sudden we are playing the tiebreaker game. That doesn't feel very safe to me.

I think we're set. I don't see us dropping 4 games now.

All we need is a win over Tampa or Atlanta, a split with New Orleans (which will happen) and a win over New York, and that's that. At 10-6, we'll make the playoffs. Carolina holds the tie-breaker over San Francisco. So technically, we only need two more wins.

That would be 3 wins and an 11-5 record. I'm down with that, but we're winning out.

I don't see the Cardinals or the 49ers losing more than 2 more games. If we are only 10-6 then we're going to be in a tiebreaker situation again. I said it at the beginning and I'll say it now....10-6 isn't going to guarantee a spot

I'm not sure wether you are just tempering expectations, or are trying to say we won't make the play-offs. Either way it's a lot of negativity when we are discussing our teams playoff scenarios. Try to enjoy it a little. This should be fun.

I'm saying what I've said the whole time in this thread....we are not "safe" at this point. I think we are going to make it. I believe we are going to win the Division. But I'm not printing T-shirts guaranteeing yet. To me safe = sure thing = a definite. And while I fully believe, to say we are locked in is wrong and bad karma IMO. I'm not being negative...I'm just not ready to count chickens.
