Eh sort of. Miami called a timeout before the last play of the game. So maybe the play was Cams idea but it's not like the call was made on the fly. Up to that point it was no huddle with timeouts mixed in.

I'm sure it was one of those deals where he came to the huddle with 3 play options, and he was able to choose at the LOS which play to run base on the defensive look he got. We actually had no receivers and 6 Linemen in the game.

 

I hear Cam out there checkin in and out of plays all the time.

One has to love the way Cam has matured as an NFL QB. He is young and still maturing,so the best is yet to come.

Wow, and Shula's been getting all the love from talk radio and fans for that brilliant play call. Not to take anything away from Shula, of course, but that just makes me so much happier to have Cam as our QB.

 

 

To Shula's credit, he put it in Cam's available plays in the game-plan and then he gave his QB the liberty to do it.

 

That's what good coaches do for good players.

 

So absolutely its to Shula's credit as well.

Rivera says Cam called final scoring play vs Dolphins & did so running no-huddle. Team will consider using it more - in certain situations.

Remember right off the bat his first year they would not let him use an armband to remember the plays?  And that offense was a lot more verbal then.  Cam has never lacked in the football IQ department.  He just needed the experience.
