I'd like to think Barner would be capable of playing that role. Unless he's still adapting to the speed of the game and other things, which is very possible since he's just a rookie.

Not really. Barner will be getting regular practice snaps in our scheme and gameplan. They don't want him wasting his time as a scout RB.
