yeahh, because even if it hit a player, unless it's an eligible player, it should be intentional grounding atleast. I'm pretty sure it hit one of the panther players, but cutler was in the pocket so yeahh.

But question, why isn't a spike intentional grounding ??

Its a rule the NFL made up to justify the terrible call in the Patrioits/Raiders playoff game.

The call was right, the RULE is teh suck.

Panthers have benefitted from the tuck rule also, vs Minny in 2006.

It was called in games before the Raiders-Pats and it is called several times a year.

Really its a moot point because he threw it side ways. The Tuck rule make a throw an incomplete pass. No way to be an incomplete pass if its thrown lateral.
