Who is Your Unsung Hero This Season?

Gross. quietly having one of, if not the, best seasons of his career, providing leadership, being a great teammate, and providing the fans a 20 minute interview with someone from the team every wednesday. 

 

Gross, no questions in my mind. 

 

Nailed it.  Plenty of guys on the roster have been getting plenty of recognition, but Gross was the guy who came to mind immediately as soon as I saw the thread title.  The OL as a whole has been a mess, but Gross is holding down that left side pretty darn well.

 

Nortman would be my #2.  He was vilified by many last year including myself, but he's kicking his ass off this year.  Starting to look like a late round draft pick well spent.

Kalil has quietly returned to his All Pro form and Cole has provided solid DT depth for us

Yep, Kalil too.  Truly terrifying to imagine this OL without Gross and Kalil.  Our OL pretty much consists of Gross, Kalil, and Bueller, Bueller... Bueller

Our offensive line outside of Kalil and Gross is awful.

Melvin White, the guy has followed and interacted me on twitter since he was signed as a UDFA. We talk back and forth from time to time during the week. I knew he would never make it past the first roster cuts but, here he is starting at CB.

A very pleasant surprise considering the expectations when we signed him, but he's far from unsung.  Mitchell's impact has been widely acknowledged.

Tolbert is leading among fullbacks in probowl voting I believe so he's hardly unsung. I would probably say Gano.

I think Travelle Wharton's return to the left side has had a lot to do with Gross' very solid year, not to take anything away from Jordan at all. Wharton might get my vote.

Cole has been solid at DT. I know our O-line isn't stellar but I think it has been nice to have Wharton back too.
