Our QB Spent His Day Off Feeding the Hungry

We've got a high character locker room. And I've been hearing for several years how management needed quit being so "uptight" and quit being so stringent about character. I'm glad we haven't strayed from that philosophy.

This.

I do believe that Cam's PR people are doing a nice job getting this stuff out there. But, I believe it is so much more than PR. Cam really dies care deeply about others and looks to really enjoy doing these things.

Well done young man.

It's hard to tell the difference between Luck and the average hobo:

Hello, I am Jebediah, your Amish goat-milking farm hand from Western Pennsylvania.   You know that Western Pennsylvania produces more top quality QBs than there are fleas on a plowing Ox's back, so if your herd of goats needs milking....

Just kidding.  I do not need to put Andrew Luck down to pay respects to Cam.

I am still waiting for the people who defended Cam last season to attack those of us who criticized him then.  He is a different player now--the player we all knew he could be-- and a smart person would see the difference and think, "Now I get what they were saying."  His teammates, coaches, family, and Cam himself all admit to undergoing some rather dramatic changes this year.  I am elated about it and I think we finally have that franchise qb this franchise has never had.  This photo tells me that he gets it.   If you think he is fun this year, wait until the OL and WR upgrades in 2014.

And I keep wondering why those in the media set out to tear down everything about Cam when they are backing a guy looking like this. SMH

The guy has as much hair on his face as he does no his head. It's not even shaped up. Not a good look at all.

Not really trying to put down Luck, just an observation that the kid needs some help with the beard, that thing is threatening to engulf his face

Name a 23/24 year old who doesn't go through changes? Defending the ridiculous criticism of Cam by praphrasing what others are saying about his changes shows me how arrogant some of you really are. How do you know what kind of "dramatic changes" they are talking about? It's clearly not any of the BS many was criticizing him over like the towel being on his head?

Also,  I am sure Luck himself is going through changes, like ALL 23/24 year olds. The difference is, how the media is projecting and spinning these QBs growing pains. Case in point: RG III. There are those who are now coming down on him, while others are defending his behavior and game. But with Cam it has been from day one, a concerted effort to scrutinize and critize his every move and treat him as if he's not human. Those who feel otherwise simply don't say anything or chime in with very little just not to rock the boat.

Feeling the need to nitpick everything Cam does and defend the actions by claiming it's because he was drafted at number one and not for the real reason behind the endless scrutiny and criticisms is, IMO, way more immature. Especially when Luck is also drafted at # 1 and you hear crickets when it comes to any level of criticism against his appearance, his ability to speak, and his attitude in front of the mike. All things Cam was scrutinized on.

What you see with Cam is not PR. This came from his site, not the media. Big difference.

I will encourage you to google Cam when he was in college? You will see that he was doing the same exact thing that he's doing now. The difference is, he now has more money to do it with. :)

Think you're overplaying your hand here, especially seeking Kudos and adoration while doing so.

So much of the national criticism of Cam (and many Huddler's) was overblown and nit picking. If you don't believe; just look at RG3 and Colin Kaepernick this year. It was clear those guys weren't pocket QB's, or leaders, and had personality/maturity issues last year. However, the media and so many fans chose to ignore it. Did you feel those guys were immature last year (please be honest; these web pages are cached, remember)????? I always felt Cam was more mature, and a better NFL QB/Prospect than them all along myself.

Where's the supposed leadership of these two guys now (as several current and former Redskins state "the Redskins have no leadership", and/or "RG3 is not a leader on that team", while Kaepernick was destroying bathrooms and responding to "Haterz" on twitter after bad games), they supposedly had, which Cam didn't? Get my drift? These two guys are a Poo Show in comparison. But so many of us not only bought the hype, but fed into with accusations and negative comparisons to your own QB as well.

Give Cam credit for wanting to better himself, instead of taking it as an opportunity to pat yourself on the back. Plus, you can't always take Cam's self criticism seriously anyway; cause he (rightfully so) will always blame himself, and say he should have done better, whether it was actually his fault or not. So that doesn't necessarily translate.

What Cam experienced his first two years was the normal growth of any QB in his position (#1 pick/bad team/Neophyte Head Coach in the Internet, Sports Radio, Cable TV age, etc.). But for some reason many Huddlers and the media tried to make him out to be some sort special case; nitpicking and highlighting every little thing he said,  did; and didn't say and do. Lol.

Please! Eli Manning, was practically ran out of town; told in his face he wasn't a leader by certain players, and wasn't respected his first several years. Half the team didn't even believe in him. That's why Tiki Barber was jettisoned. He was one of the Ring leaders that didn't respect or believe in Eli, and told him to his face in front of teammates many times.  Cam never had it that bad. It was a 3 yr soap opera, documented by the NY Media. And look what happened to Eli (as just one example)?

No one's saying, Cam couldn't improve on/in anything when he came in the league. Not at all. Just too many things were way overblown and sensationalized (than usual) to a great degree; so much of it unfairly so I may add.

I place Cam more in the Idolatry/Sainted Luck, Wilson mode of preparation, dedication, maturity and hard work, than I do in the RG3, Kaepernick, Andy Dalton, Tannehill set. And let's not even talk about NFL/Game ability, where I feel Cam matches or blows all those other guys away (especially the latter 4).

Yes Cam's growing. But there was nothing to overtly worry about in the first place, to deserve a public apology to his previous critics.

Then he drowned 3 puppies and sold a blind kid a dead bird.  But hey, it's Andrew Luck so...MVP candidate, obviously.

Ahhh, the old sale a kid a dad bird trick.  That's a classic.

I think Cam just loves the kids.  Seriously, he's one of those people that just relates and is comfortable around kids.  Maybe he's start a chain of daycares after his NFL career.  "Cam's Kids"

What I meant is that I am sure his PR people (and he has PR people) have told him to get out in the community.  Nothing wrong with that....that is their job.

My other point is that I think it goes WAY deeper than that with Cam.  Guy just seems like a big kid who loves bringing smiles and joy to others (expecially children).  He is genuine and is the real deal

Should team up with Mike Rucker.....The Rucker House.

Even Cam has said over and over that he took a long look at how he projected himself and made drastic changes.
