PEDS in the NFL

No.

Court of public opinion is different in the NFL. It's the truest gladiator sport we still have in the world. People honestly don't care if players do PEDS in the NFL. I'd use PEDs too if I was in the NFL. The physical limits in the sport are pushed beyond what 99.999 percent of what the normal human body can take. Think about it. Even in our SB year half of our offensive line was doing them. Nobody brings that up anymore.. Brian Cushing.....old news....forgotten. At most it's worthy of a day headline in the news.

It's weird it's the complete opposite in baseball, and nobody brings it up in basketball. Have you ever heard of any PED use in basketball? It's happening though.

But are they pushed beyond because of the peds?

It's possible.  I think most players do it so they can heal quickly.  When you think about some of the collisions in the NFL, it's amazing some of these guys are playing the next week.  I really don't blame them.  If I was getting paid 4 mil a year, and I'm feeling the pressure of living up to the contract, and now teams are game planning against me, I better be able to heal for the next game.

I know this may sound dumb, but we all know Vince Mcmahon does steroids.  He's old and looks like he's in great shape.  Maybe all PED's aren't bad for you.

We're not talking late 1980 roid rage steroids here.  While I'm not advocating the use of any of them, and I've never done them, I do understand why pro sports athletes would turn to them.  Hell we have stores in the mall and at various tangier outlets essentially selling PEDS.  GNC, Vitamin Shoppe, etc.  Synthetically enhanced protein for protein shakes are arguably PEDs.  Hell Vitamin B12 is a PED.  The only difference is, it's not written in the rule book.

I know alot of people who support players using PEDs in the NFL, make the hits bigger, helps rehab injuries, and you end up just having an overall better group of athletes on the field.  My problem with it, if its allowed, is that if you want to even want to have a chance in the NFL, you are gonna have to start using them in college or even high school.  The vast majority of college players will never make the NFL, even with PEDs, and thus you are essentially forcing these kids to take them just to compete.  Sure, if you know ur a stud lineman out of Alabama you can take these, because you'll make millions to compensate the health risks, but its a huge decision kids are going to have to make.

Well it's a business and it's not the 1950s anymore.  If fans  bought that product that's what they would do but we don't.....we want to see hits.  But I agree it's a problem.

But to add to my last post....the real problem is the roster limit and the salary cap restrictions contributing to that in the NFL.

Salary cap is absolutely needed in the NFL.  It (along with the NFL draft structure) is a big reason why bottom-feeders can quickly turn around into playoff contenders.

Honestly we'd only enjoy the super athletes PEDs would bring about for a short period of time.  Once everyone in the NFL started taking PEDs, every player would be bigger, stronger and faster - and from our point of perspective (the fans) it would look exactly the same.  The guys being hit would be significantly larger and able to absorb the hits better.
