just noting how the 'weakest division' / 'strongest division' arguments are used whenever it suits ones purpose (like any time someone what's to try to diminish the accomplishments of the Pats), and rarely based on any kind of statistics or evidence.

the media is attacking Griffin trying to make look like a bad guy, when he is probably p4p the nicest guy in the nfl... its like the black athlete is not supposed to be shown in a positive light by media... we always have to be the villan that everyone wants to see fail

 

they did this with Cam last year

 

Actually, the "REAL" Sports media, ESPN/NFLN, isn't  attacking Griffin. They are playing devils advocates by showing his presser and discussing the fact that "other folks" don't like his attitude and questioning his game. But you should know by now that if the "REA" Sports Media isn't against him, then he's pretty much safe.

 

All day those on NFLN have been discussing RG's behavior and game and as usual, they all defended him.There was only one guy, I forgot his name, who started to go off script when he voiced his view of RG's attitude with the writers but caught himself and ended with being on the same page with the other guys.

I'm sure they'll continue their silliness often this season because injury and other factors have made the Colts pretty bad. Luck is still good but has little help.

Not that it matters to this bunch, mind you. They have their agenda and their obsession, but their actual football knowledge, logic and objectivity are, to be kind, severely lacking. I'm sure if Luck is named Super Bowl MVP in a few years they'll still insist they were right somehow. :lol:

The Legion of Jealous Teenage Girls is persistent, and quite frankly at this point, boring. It was mildly amusing to poke them for a bit, but you get tired of dealing with dumb. So for me, I'm just not interested in them anymore.

Let the yapper dogs whine for attention all they want. I'd rather spend my time enjoying watching my team win, something I haven't had the pleasure of doing in quite some time :)

 

I normally don't get involved in these things, and I respect you as a poster here, but serious question... what does it matter?

 

Have you ever went to the same lengths to defending our QB as you have the Luck detractors?  Because I've seen you go page, after page, after page with people who might say "Luck sucks, he's terrible" etc. and - maybe I'm wrong here - but I don't remember the same sort of defense of Newton on your part, despite him outplaying Luck for 2 years now (3 if you count his rookie year... which blows Lucks out the water).

 

I like Luck, I'm not one of the detractors, in fact I think he's going to be a helluva QB... but this ridiculous amount of hype and praise for him just isn't warranted at this point, especially not when guys like Cam can mess up and play awful game (or hell, play a good game and still lose) and then people jump all over his poo.  Every time the Colts lose every excuse in the book is made up for Luck... because apparently he's too good to lose for whatever reason.

 

I've watched the guy play plenty.  He's good, but he's fuging overrated as all hell.  Without question I would legitimately take Cam over him at this point, and I'm kind of glad that Luck blew us off and stayed in school for another year.  Cam has so much more upside (IMO) it's ridiculous, and we all know by now work ethic isn't an issue for him, so we should see him tap into that potential more and more as time goes by.

The guys on here who are obsessed with trying to tear down Luck - something which actually shows insecurity about Newton, not confidence - amused me for a while. Watching them go ape s--t was a wicked sort of fun, but it's played out now. Like I said, watching someone be dumb is only funny for a little while, and that's now past.

Like I said earlier, my favorite team is having a good year, better than they've had in a long time and way better than expected. Me? I'm loving it. But others can't seem to find full enjoyment in it because OMG SOMEONE SAID SOMETHING GOOD ABOUT ANDREW LUCK HOW DARE THEY DO THAT WE HAVE TO TEAR HIM DOWN OR CAM WILL SUFFER!!!

I belive that Cam and Luck could possibly be the next generation's Peyton v. Brady. I have little doubt that Cam is a superior athlete as O have no doubt that Luck will be an above average QB if not better. Somethimg inside me wants to hate him beacause he does get a HUGE break with the media on addition to all that HOF talk after his ROOKIE season.

All that garbage aside, I don't hate him and wish him the best of luck.

Cam is the superior qb imo though

However if they play the Panthers I will hate him with every atom in my body.
