Carolina Panthers. Up there with the big dawgs..

Would I have expected a crappy thread title?  Absolutely.  Would I have expected the Panthers to be riding a 7-game winning streak and going toe-to-toe with NFL heavy-hitters?  The possibility was there, but it looked dubious at best.  Sure seemed like it might just be the same old Panthers at that point.

fixed. thanks

He slipped and fell out of bounds on that synthetic surface they use on the sidelines.  Plenty of folks have goten hurt on that surface  as well.  It was hardly intentional.

This play sums up the game pretty well for me. In a convoluted sequence of events, Cam turns a routine 1st down run, into a 23 yard gain. The Cam effect in all its glory. This whole game was a convoluted mess.

I think it's a passive-aggressive way to take a shot at Cam. The whole "look at his smile after he sold the penalty" just makes it seem as if they're making him out to be sly and sneaky but in a bad way.

Subtle as my grandfather. Politically correct and all that. Cam is going to revolutionize the position, to bad some have to miss it over some bias that would disappear the moment the met Cam the man.

It doesnt break mine. Without those tough losses, IMO, we simply wouldn't be the team we are today. I don't think we would be 8-3. Just being honest. We needed the wake up call. I believe we will be much better going forward because of it.

No way we go for it on 4th & 2, much less 4th & 10, if we won those games. Different team entirely. IMHO.

Had not thought about it that way. Nice angle. Sounds plausible. Has merit. I'll take it that we would have played the Bills game the same way had we beat the Hawks. But if we still lost to the Hawks, RR would go for it against the Bills.

Our record is 8-3. After a 1-3 start. Who in their right mind is unhappy right now?

I completely agree! I think we needed to lose those games to figure out who we were as a team and what our coaches needed to learn in order to win. They were heart breaking losses because I know we are the better team but in no way can I argue with the results of these past 7 weeks. Those losses put huge chips on our teams shoulders and added fuel to all the doubters. In all honestly I am loving seeing all those doubters eat crow and our players still playing with that chip!

Oh so close there fella'. If you could get that whole quoting a post thingy down, I could have given you my nuggets of wisdom. Oh well, may next time you'll get to class on time.

Congrats on another win.  Definitely not giving us any breathing room, keeping it close within our division.  You guys will get your shots at us, I don't think this is the year you win our division.  I also think by the networks flexing our game benefits us because yall all know how we perform during prime time.  WHO DAT

Denver is the Indy of old.  Peyton Manning puts up otherworldy numbers in the regular season, and then when it is time to face the elements (like last night) or a good defense, he folds up.

I fuly expect Denver to be one and done in the playoffs.  My guess would be Cincy gets the four seed, wins against the cheifs at home ,and then travels to Denver and take care of the Broncos behind a good running game and a stingy defense.

I was trying after the Buffalo game to find 10 wins and I didn't see a very plausible way to get there.

Now I feel like it will be a letdown if we don't get 12 or 11.

I try to be more positive than negative and yet still completely underestimated this team.

Feels so good to be wrong!

At 1-3 I thought we were done.  I was already looking to the draft.  Once we beat the Rams and Bucs to get to .500, looking at the schedule I was thinking that if we could just beat ATL then find a way to split with SF and NE then we might be able to be in the conversation down the stretch.  Not in my wildest dreams did I imagine we'd go on a 7 game winning streak.

It will be a game of epic proportion.

if you guys fall to seahawks next week, and we take over tampa, our game on SNF will be a battle for division lead and also a victory will put both Cam & Ron over .500

This team is hungry, do not underestimate.

I've heard folks say that Rivera's philosophy change was remarkable and rare, but I can't help but think that it was just a game management tweak that he forced himself to address. I mean we're really talking about him simply being more willing to trust the offense to convert a short 4th down over a field position flipping punt or an fg. You can't automatically call that the difference between a crappy HC and a successful one. I know that if it is impacting close games too often it needs to be addressed. I'm just glad we aren't talking "hot seat" anymore.
