Would you have expected (when we were 1-3) that in late november we would be in the following conversation?

I am very very proud of my panthers, way to learn how to win!

Its very fascinating that they are aware of their mediocre performance and their are not giving up mid game. I do think they will tighten up the loose ends and play a much higher quality football here in the next weeks.

we are sitting at the 5th spot in the league, 1 game behind broncos, chiefs and saints. i did not think that was possible a few weeks ago.

Me neither.

It's not everyday that a head coach admits that his philosophy isn't working and commits to doing something different.  It takes balls to step out of your comfort zone, even when your job is on the line.  The adjustments by the coaching staff has lead to higher confidence being displayed by the players which is translating into wins.

Ya know, I have to give a big shoutout to Aikman, remember he had us way up there even when things looked bad? He obviously watched the games & knew what we were about instead of being one of the many many talking heads that followed like sheep. Dunno why, his ranking is the first one that comes to mind.

I see total Points Allowed at 151, which is 20 points less then the next team on that list.

I think it moved.

The screenshot is from this morning. All stats are up to date for these 6 teams.

We were neck to neck with Chiefs for PA before last week but SD scored 41 on them and we allowed only 16.

Would I have expected a crappy thread title?  Absolutely.  Would I have expected the Panthers to be riding a 7-game winning streak and going toe-to-toe with NFL heavy-hitters?  The possibility was there, but it looked dubious at best.  Sure seemed like it might just be the same old Panthers at that point.

Bills game and Seachickens game break my heart still.

It doesnt break mine. Without those tough losses, IMO, we simply wouldn't be the team we are today. I don't think we would be 8-3. Just being honest. We needed the wake up call. I believe we will be much better going forward because of it.

No way we go for it on 4th & 2, much less 4th & 10, if we won those games. Different team entirely. IMHO.

I completely agree! I think we needed to lose those games to figure out who we were as a team and what our coaches needed to learn in order to win. They were heart breaking losses because I know we are the better team but in no way can I argue with the results of these past 7 weeks. Those losses put huge chips on our teams shoulders and added fuel to all the doubters. In all honestly I am loving seeing all those doubters eat crow and our players still playing with that chip!

I say right now that we are the 4th best team in the NFL

Seattle, Denver, Saints...then the Panthers/

Not as sold on Denver after watching them blow that game last night and looking at their schedule.  They have beaten 3 teams with winning records.  The Chiefs,  who I think are way overrated, and then the 2 from the NFC least, the Cowboys and the Eagles.  And for all the talk about how great their offense is their defense is just as bad.  They just have to win in a shootout every week and without those 3 early turnovers by the Pats that game last night is not even close.  Peyton has problems in the cold with those bad nerves running from his neck to his hand.  As Andrew Luck showed everyone yesterday that home field advantage is very important to team like the Saints and the Colts.  I think Peyton is missing that a lot right now. Maybe Denver wins the division maybe they don't idk.  But either way I think they are 1 and done.
