Expect to see a lot more deep ball throws in TB and NO

This does bring up an excellent question, even brought up yesterday by the talking heads.  What about Greg?  We love his antics, his energy, his motor, and his quality as a DE.  BUT!  If he was seeking CJ money, did he make or lose it yesterday?  He turned down 4 year/$32 million this off season.  Does that go up or down based on his production this season thus far?  Or did he earn top DE money through his run D and general pressure yesterday?

Nope, not taking that deal was a terrible decision on his part.  Somebody might pay him CJ money, but it won't be us.  The only way I could see it happening is if he goes on an absolutely rampage in the post season.

Let us not forget, one of the deep balls Tanny rolled out to his right. So they got him out of the pocket to give him time for the throw. Pretty effectively too.

True, and I wonder if that play would have been as effective if Johnson had been in the game.

Of course, with Miami missing three starting offensive linemen, we can't really complain about Johnson being out.

We have seen CJ ruin that play a lot through the years. So they did call a good play at a good time.

I think CJ was indeed missed. But we did get decent pressure, and even blitzed a bit in the second half. But it was a little concerning that their line did such a good job on our front 4.

I'm hoping we try to stretch the field more.

That is the one aspect I think I am most perplexed about. I know we don't want to make mistakes, but lots of good things can happen when you throw the ball down the field. Not every bomb is intercepted.

Teddy has proven he can get down field. Smitty can still get down field. Lafell, although 3rd on our list, #2 in our hearts, can get down field as well. Why are we not using these guys? You see it on replays, you see it in pics, guys talk about it, but Cam is leaving those big plays on the field.

Hey, we are winning, so I am not going to go overboard. But many of us are concerned over the lack of the deep ball in our Offense.
