Expect to see a lot more deep ball throws in TB and NO

Let us not forget, one of the deep balls Tanny rolled out to his right. So they got him out of the pocket to give him time for the throw. Pretty effectively too.

Where was the safety help. Oh yeah, Lester was too busy running around like a chicken with his head cut off to be in any position to help the CBs out.

Am I a the only one that sees Lester like this. Most times he is trailing the play. He may have some ball hawking skills, but the rest of his game needs to catch up.

Lets remember though Wallace is one of the fastest guys in the league. I could be wrong but I don't think Vjax is as fast. Plus hopefully CJ will be back this week and QBs won't have as long for deep routes to develop

This.  Mike Wallace is one of the elite deep threats in the NFL.

The other part of the equation is that their OL has to hold off our pass rush long enough to give them time to go deep.  We missed CJ even worse than I thought we would yesterday.

Captain has said that on both of the long catches by Wallace Captian thought he was going to run a comeback route and played accordingly.  Thus Captain is left in the dust when instead of turing and coming back Wallace does a stop and go route.

Captain has to play a receiver with Wallace's speed as if he's going deep every time or put safety help over the top and leave Hartline to beat you one on one.

Captain made two big mistakes, CJ was out and our guys came in without much energy because we'd just played two huge games, one on the road and one the biggest MNF game in history.  So Miami on a short week on the road was hell.  I expect our guys to come back much more rested and ready for TB.

Munnerlyn and White are the weak links of the defense.  I've noticed that Glennon seems to have an ability to roll outside of the pocket to extend plays and can make accurate throws while doing so.  Probably necessitated by a constantly collapsing pocket.  I hope our edge rush keeps Glennon contained so the corners don't have to cover as long.

Well he was suppose to have S help....so it meant captain had the ability to play the comeback

It really is a testament to how great our D is when everyone is up in arms and worried about the D after we hold NE to 20 points on MNF and hold Miami to 16 points including pitching a shutout in the 2cd half.  Hell, the Pats hung 31 on Denver in one half.  36 points allowed in 2 games and that's considered subpar for our defense?  Yeah, they're pretty damn good.

The reason we got beat on those long balls was because we had Captain Munnerlyn playing on the outside.  Munnerlyn needs to strictly play in the slot or at the very most the #2 wr he doesn't have insane top end speed or a 40' vertical so his 5'8 height is a huge reliability in coverage.  Wallace did get behind us a couple more times but the fact that they were incompletions makes them irrelevant.

We were really lucky. Mike Wallace was open on some clear tannenhill overthrows or underthrows. A better qb takes advantage of those opportunities.
