Expect to see a lot more deep ball throws in TB and NO

This isn't something new for the Panthers this year.  We can, have been, and will be beat by the long ball.  The fact is, our corners are the weakest link in our secondary.  White showed promise, but he's not there yet.  Captain is solid, but will be victimized by the long ball, especially on tall receivers. The rest...well...we've seen it happen.

The best thing for those guys will be for our D line to get in the back field and have parties all day.  That's going to be the best bet.  Or they are going to have to play the game of their lives the rest of the year.

This does bring up an excellent question, even brought up yesterday by the talking heads.  What about Greg?  We love his antics, his energy, his motor, and his quality as a DE.  BUT!  If he was seeking CJ money, did he make or lose it yesterday?  He turned down 4 year/$32 million this off season.  Does that go up or down based on his production this season thus far?  Or did he earn top DE money through his run D and general pressure yesterday?

Besides the obvious need for a good rush down the road its about stopping a team on 1st down.

We don't want 2nd or 3rd and short because that gives the offense more options for the element of surprise.

Which hurts us in the secondary. The Saints and Graham are tough for us in this area.
