The NFL rules regarding flex scheduling mandates notification of the flex be made no later than 12 days prior to the game. In this case, the 12 days is Tuesday November 26.

 

If the game is flexed, NBC and the NFL will announce it tomorrow or Tuesday. They normally do not announce it on a Sunday gameday simply because it's more of a business decision and there's nobody in the office on Sunday nights, and all parties and networks need to talk with each other:

1. Both teams
2. The NFL
3. The Panther TV network
4. The Saints TV network
5. The State of Louisiana (who own the Superdome and have scheduling rights)
