I will take my chances on how I raise my son.

He is polite, generous, and determined.

Our FAMILY motto is COOPERS NEVER QUIT.. I will hold him to that his whole life.

There is nothing wrong with expecting my son to make good on his word and responsibilities.

He is a tough kid with no quit in him, he just had to understand that because we don't "want" to do things in life doesn't mean you skip out on your responsibilities.

The pushups are every night, 356- I did give him his birthday off though.

I doubt he will look back and say; "man my dad was such a dick, he wouldn't let me quit, and expected me to be responsible to my dedications".

So I will take my chances- Ya'll raise your kids however you like.

Ohh and "painters tip" on how to get those straight lines;

#1- Messure from the molding all the way around to get your lines- you CAN use a level but if your floor is not level it will look funny. (yes- some of your floors are not level believ it or not)

#2- TAPE-

#3- run caulk (regular white caulk) over top of the tape and wall seam. Use as much as you like just clean it up, just dont leave "caulk lines"

thats why there is no "bleed-over" and the lines look like stickers. (i did have to use a very very small painters brush to touch up a few places, but it looks great!

#4- let dry 30 minutes

#5- PAINT

#6- repeat

a room this size took about a week (considering some of that I had to work during the day though.

I am interested in caulk, but need help with how to work with caulk. Does the color of the caulk matter? How do you keep your hands from getting sticky with caulk in hand?

Nope. I bought the paint at home depot because Glidden carries the official team colors- (not cheap)

I didnt want it turning out cheap looking.... literally i guess.... lol lol

(btw- the 1 quart of the blue is enough to do an average room with having some left over! )

Nice room, but don't like the whole "why did you quit on me" episode. It's stuff like that that can mess up a kid mentally as he gets older. AK probably did it to trick his kid so that he's even more surprised when he comes back and sees his room, but that's gonna be on the kid's mind the entire trip. If its a one time deal, he should explain it to him when he gets back or apologize or think of something else while he's still on the trip. If this is how he normally raises his kid, so be it. I still don't agree with it.

Smoking Meth can mess a kid up mentally.....
