The mistake some of these announcers make is that they think if helmets touch, it is automatic helmet to helmet penalty. The rule says he has to lead with the helmet or launch. Kuechly did not lead with his helmet, he led with his arms and his helmet happen to hit the facemask. Hitting a helpless WR is bs because they are trying to basically say a defender can't hit a WR in that situation at all. Not many other ways you could have hit that WR given the way he caught the ball.
