Of the games left on the schedule, this one would be the least painful loss...

The Panthers are riding the big Mo right now. A loss to an inferior team right now could shake their confidence and begin a downward spiral. If I had to choose which game to lose at gunpoint it would be the last game against ATL because we would already be resting our starters.

I personal believe splitting the Saints game is a better loss. But it depends on where the other wildcard and teams with a chance to become a wild card team.

IMO, this team should be more focused on the play-offs, not concerned about just beating division rivals. Their vision should be winning period.

You bring up a valid point. After all, we are basically a young team. Especially on Defense. Are we ready, willing, and able, to handle all that comes with leading the Division? It is a scary concept, that only months ago would be scoffed and ridiculed as ridiculous. Division Leader meet Target.

Hence, just worry about playing well, make the playoffs, THEN, its game on mutherfugerz!

If we are 9-3 going into the aints game, the results of that game will determine the course of the rest of our season.

Win! And we lead the Division. We have the, at the very least, and only til the next game, tiebreaker. Or, best case, we lead outright if Sea. can beat them next week.

Lose. And its back to the bidness of winning games. Everything else will work itself out.

tl/dr version. If we spank the aints, in that...building. We just let the world know, the NFC Playoffs were just rendered irrelevant. Cuz the road to the Super Bowl is from the Car., Sea. winner.

We have a poo ton of duo's on this here team. Cam and Shula, Cam and Smitty, Keek and TD, Star and KK, CJ and Kraken, Double Trouble is back...ish, Rivera and McD, and even Rivera and G-man. Not sure what that means, just found it interesting. Mkay? Okay...I found it cool.

I see the saints winning at Seattle. We need this game. The only game i see us losing is one of the two vs the saints. otherwise,  realistically we should win every other game on our schedule. If we're gonna be big time, we need to keep playing big time. and we play big time when we're floating on high confidence. and that means beating teams you should beat. simple.

People think if we lose tommorrow than suddenly people forget about us and wont take us seriously anymore. I totally disagree. The fact remains is every great team has a WTF kind of loss. The Colts got completely blown out by the lowly Rams in Indy and noone suddenly considered them a joke and pretenders. The fact remains a loss tommorrow means we are still 7-4 and still hold tie breakers over the entire NFC except the Cards and still would have that final WC spot.

The wins against NE and San Fran were huge in that it gave us a little wiggle room for error incase we do have a let down game we would stil be in a great position. The NE and San Fran wins gave us a nice little rainy day fund in the bank.

we have had quite a few of those in recent years... we really dont need anymore !!  This WOULD be a painful loss...  every loss is painful, and every loss makes it less likely that we will make the post-season.

If or when we lose it'll be painful. We need every one to improve playoff scenarios. I want a home playoff game. I think this team has enough veteran leadership (smitty, TD, Gross, Kalil) to keep the since of urgency high. I think this game will be close but we'll have another Cam Newton led TD drive to win in the 4th

Panthers 21-17

Oh i understand, all losses are painful but we are in such good shape we could afford to lose to Miami, get swept by the Saints and STILL go 10-6 by simply beating the Falcons, Jets and Bucs. Again, I am in no way advocating this ofcourse, its just nice to know we have a pretty good cushion now for error incase we do hit a wall and cool off some.

Frankly, if we are 9-3 and other teams help us out and we can wrap a WC spot at 9-3, I frankly could care less what happens after that until we get to the playoffs. I just want to get in the playoffs. Yea winning the division is nice and all but I think people blow out of proportion. I do know this, and I know im going to catch a lot of flak but I dont care. I do not want a playoff bye, thats for sure. Yes, i do not want to win the NFC.

Bye weeks is this team's kryptonite and a playoff bye I think could turn out real bad for us. Ask the Packers how they liked their playoff bye when they laid an egg in Green Bay against the Giants coming off a playoff bye. I have a huge man crush on Rivera just like everyone else but 0-3 after byes tells me a playoff bye wont be in our best interest.

See that was Ron Rivera, not Riverboat Ron!
