Of the games left on the schedule, this one would be the least painful loss...

Before you jump on my case with your bad juju nonsense, I don't believe in any of that crap.

So anyways, looking at the rest of the schedule, if the Panthers were to lose one more game (which is highly likely), the game tomorrow would be the one you would want to lose. On the road against an AFC team.

The rest of the games on the schedule are either at home, against a division rival, or both.

So, logically speaking, if you had to choose at gunpoint one game to lose from here on out, its Miami

That said, I think we win tomorrow. But just something to consider. A small part of me thinks if we need to lose one to get hungry and focused again as we are brought back down to earth, its against Miami.

If we win tomorrow and sweep the Bucs, we'll be sitting at 9-3. That's where I want to be rolling into the Saints game. We're on too much of a roll right now and I really hope we don't lay an egg.

I agree. That best time to lose mentality doesn't cut it when you are trying to win a division and put the league on notice.

The Panthers need to focus on this week alone and just win baby !

I don't know why but this game scares me more than the Monday Night game did last week. I don't see us winning the South unless we sweep NO. I am pretty sure they would own the tie breaker with points per game if we were to split with them. I think we would pretty much be even in all the other tie breakers if the season plays out with no surprises. So to me loosing here is not an option if we want to win the South.

People think if we lose tommorrow than suddenly people forget about us and wont take us seriously anymore. I totally disagree. The fact remains is every great team has a WTF kind of loss. The Colts got completely blown out by the lowly Rams in Indy and noone suddenly considered them a joke and pretenders. The fact remains a loss tommorrow means we are still 7-4 and still hold tie breakers over the entire NFC except the Cards and still would have that final WC spot.

The wins against NE and San Fran were huge in that it gave us a little wiggle room for error incase we do have a let down game we would stil be in a great position. The NE and San Fran wins gave us a nice little rainy day fund in the bank.
