I don't mind bandwagon fans as long as they aren't the ones who pretend they know everything. This one guy at work says he's been a fan since we drafted Jake DaHome(it's how he pronounces it) lol. Yeah buddy. There's another guy who says "hes been a fan since 96 when the Panthers first started playing" and when you try and correct them they act like you don't know what you're talking about.

I was a bandwagon fan in 95, and I think I turned out ok.

The funniest thing about the bandwagon Carolina fans are the ones who waited this long to cheer them.  The ones who've lived in NC or SC for their life and liked the Skins, Cowboys, other then are cheering them now because they like Cam Newton or some other silly excuse.  It's hilarious, Panthers fanboyism was at its peak with Jake Delhomme and the Super Bowl run, that was just funny.  "Got Jake" shirts were more insulting then the ones who cheer for a better QB - Newton.

I'm not a band wagon fan.  I've kept notice of the Panthers since the Bills sent a bunch of players down to start them - Metzelaars, Beebe, Reich, Vince Marrow, Sean Price, and  Bill Polian.  I was at the Week 2, 1995 game to support the Panthers.  I am only a Panther fan in the sense that I like the team more then I like any other team as my 2nd team.

Welcome to the huddle. I'm actually astounded it took you this long to find the best football forum in existence. No Homerism.

You will laugh, you will cry, you will spell things wrong and get called out on it, you will be accused of being racist at one point. Cheers and enjoy the ride!

Thanks, I appreciate it. I was on the old observer forum until they got rid of it and then it occurred to me someone may have started a new forum worth looking at. I've been checking it for updates for a little while now, but now decided to post. Seems too good to be true.

Although I welcome any person who wants to cheer on my team, I couldn't agree more with those that said you have to experience the losses to truly enjoy the wins. It makes victory so much sweeter.

That being said, I wish we had more bandwagoners here in OKC...it would be nice to watch a game with people I can cheer with instead of against (damn family of Cowboys/Vikes/Steelers/Niners fans!). This season I've seen 3...yes 3 people at various sports bars rocking their black and blue with me (including one at Wes Welker's for the MNF game...ha!). I know there is at least one more around here, cuz he/she has a sweet Carolina blue Mustang with Panthers' tags I've seen cruising around. But alas, I still cheer alone. And on most days, next to a dang Aints fan to boot.

Feel free to join my bandwagon, I'd be pleased to have you.

I don't mind them except when I'm wearing my Cam jersey at Buffalo Wild Wings here in Cali and someone makes a snide remark about me being a bandwagon fan when they don't even know me. What they don't know is I've been watching Panthers games for as long as I can remember and other than a few select seasons, it's been basically viewed with a man of constant sorrow playing in the back of my head. Eat a dick bitch I don't need to explain myself to you on how I'm a Panthers fan in California I'll curb stomp your candy ass.

Dude I think we are twins. Either that or you just explained my life perfectly
