Mike Mitchell on Drew Brees "Stop being soft"

It did seem that the Saints were back to their dirty ways. It may have been the pregame pep talk of let's go earn our chips(I thought he said checks). Then I saw the blatant punch to Matt Ryan, the kick to him. Malcolm Jenkins kicked a receiver when he was down.

Steve gon' be real fired up in two weeks. He always plays the Saints hard but this year will be extra chippy.

Brees is soft as a marshmallow. And I hate him. And I hate his mole. And I hope it is not a mole but a malignant tumor. And I hate how he's perceived as "classy" when he's anything but classy. HOF? Yes. No doubt. But that doesn't make you a good person, just a great football player. I hope he overdoses on NyQuil.

It's Miami week.

Talk to me about this when the Saints are the next game on the schedule.

Ah, lossen the reins a bit there gampa. Let the kids have their fun. Also, not one person brought your name up. You interjected into this convo, just to feed that massive ego of yours. jk

Now go play somewhere mkay? We are fans, we have no binding contract. We can look ahead if/when we wish. Ha.

if you hit him he will fall, flail, and draw a flag.

My advice, do not pull up.  He's gonna whine for the call and get it.  So make it count.

I agree, if you are going to hit him. Hit him as hard as you can. But...please stay below the shoulderz. Mkay? But yeah, spank the mole face whiny lil' bitch til' he cries.

Football is a dangerous game with significant heath risks.....................those who play it learn this early in their career and by the time they get to the NFL that they have experienced major injury and/or have seen it all too frequently.

That said we should try to make it as safe as possible but it is football.........

A mistake in auto racing can kill you........but yet there are still drivers willing to measure that risk and participate in it............

I worked in motorsports for many years and a driver once told me......."If these cars and this sport was so safe that my grandmother would race them then nobody would watch it......"

Mike Mtichell is expressing that exact message..............have at it Panthers and beat the Saints.......

Well, there are some that claim a mistake in football can kill you. The results may vary, but theme is still the same.

That said. You couldn't stop a guy, or gal for that matter, from doing what they love to do. Danger is inherent in all competitions that involve physicality as a component. Players make better than avg. pay. Sure their careers can be short, as long as you aint the stupid with your money, which is really the biggest problem most kids have. But, you should be ok if you have a full career, and a solid foundation.

If you made playerz sign a waiver to play, they would. In the grand scheme of things, the fear of injury is minimal to these kids. Indestructible and all that.

Long story short. This is football, if you can't wear your big boy pants. Play QB.

Mitchell is the Smitty of the defense... Love it.

Fast becoming that for sure. Our entire Secondary is feeding off his intensity. For a young Defense, and player, that is a huge part of the equation. He has definitely brought a swagger to our Secondary.

Not to take anything away from Mike but he is just repeating what a ton of players and analysts have been talking about ever since the Brooks hit.  I just got back from a long sales trip and listened to hours of sports talk radio and even with the panther/patriot PI controversy  a lot of it was about Bree's flopping and trying to draw calls.

On TV both Lewis and Bruschi have come right out and said it also.  Even fellow QB Dilfer has gone on record as saying he was "insulted" when he heard Bree's quote that the hit was so hard that he expected a flag.

there really isn't any need for bulletin board material.  motivation is a given.  Nothing is going to make these guys go any harder at each other.

if some was EVER needed however, one just needs to remember "Cheap Shot Scott"
