Is there anything preventing us from being a Super Bowl team?

I WANT Seattle @ Seattle. Not only do we owe them after 2005 (after we had to play @ATL, @NYG, @CHI in physical games before jetting out there, but Cam throws it in the dirt last year, Olsen drops multiple balls, DeAngelo fumbles, and Beason misses big tackle this year.

No way is Seattle tougher than St Louis in 2003 when we put an end to their home winning streak. BRING ON SEATTLE IN THEIR PLACE

I WANT a SuperBowl! Don't care who we go thru or where we play. However, it would be sweet to beat Seattle in Seattle. 05' was tough to swallow. We were starting our 4th string RB, they knew we were tryn to go to Smitty. Infact, if Smith didn't request to return that punt it would hav been a shutout. But injuries only affect the Falcons tho right? LOL!

Anyway, if our RBs were healthy.....or just 2nd string, that game would have been different. IMO.

so OP do you want to bet anyone $100 that this can't happen or are you currently on the upswing of your childish emotional pendulum

The way I read the post, he's likely to bet that it can happen. In fact, if you can read and understand English, I can't see it being taken anyway but positive.

We will need luck as every team does to reach a super bowl and I'm not sure that we have one of the finer coaching staffs in the game or anything like that. We have the roster talent to do it.

So our supposed poor coaching staff just outgameplanned Belichick and his staff after they had 2 weeks to prepare for us and you still don't think they are any good??

two teams scare me.

seattle playing in seattle. i don't like that at all, esp. during the playoffs. if we play them at home again or if we were to play them on a neutral field, i think we win.

the broncos also scare me but our defense should scare them as well. i think that game could be pretty evenly matched, tbh. it's just.  team that if things go wrong for us it could really turn ugly in a hurry.

Manning isnt scared of any D. He has seen everything in the book. Like Brady he will make the right adjustments and get the ball off quick negating our pass rush. Only hope to win that game is for Cam to have an awesome game as well and get a lucky break (TO)

Can we be a Super Bowl Team again? Yes    What is stopping us from going to the Super Bowl this year? Winning enough games to get us in the Playoffs.   What would stop us from winning the Super Bowl if we make it? not scoring more points than our opponent. I believe in seizing opportunities, and the time is now. We've got the league where we want them. We caught them by surprise, they saw us coming but didn't believe it because they knew our history and now that we're here, some of them still doubt us. Lets continue to surprise them and seize the opportunity that we've (our coaches, players and upper management) have created. We are good enough, all we've got to do is win.

'fear'/'scared of' as in healthy amount of respect for what they can do. not 'wet your bed cause you so scared' type fear.

and i think manning has to have it or at least would need it if they were to face us this year. i think brady did have it.

i like rivera/mcdermott's ability to gameplan against manning and i like kuechly's chances at playing chess with him. i think that it would be a good matchup on both sides of the ball.
