Is there anything preventing us from being a Super Bowl team?

i do think that this team can stand toe to toe with any team in the league and go the distance, and thia isn't one of those "any given sunday" deals. this team is as good as any team in the nfl right now and isn't outmatched or outclassed by any team.

I WANT Seattle @ Seattle. Not only do we owe them after 2005 (after we had to play @ATL, @NYG, @CHI in physical games before jetting out there, but Cam throws it in the dirt last year, Olsen drops multiple balls, DeAngelo fumbles, and Beason misses big tackle this year.

No way is Seattle tougher than St Louis in 2003 when we put an end to their home winning streak. BRING ON SEATTLE IN THEIR PLACE

At least on talk radio, I'm hearing a lot of people talking about a letdown this week. I would have agreed that was possible even a couple of weeks ago, but the way the Panthers have taken care of business against both bad and great teams, I'm finally a believer that this team has turned the corner and the old ways we used to do thinks don't matter. Great QB, Super Bowl defense, great coaching staff (!), fantastic short yardage team. Great mix of veteran leadership and young players that don't know any better.

So let me ask you: looking at the other top teams in the league, is there any that you see having a better all-around team and coaching staff than we do? Which ones? And if you can't think of any that have a significant advantage over us, why do you think this team isn't a Super Bowl team if that's what you think?

Cam Newton can't lead a game winning drive against a winning team.

The only thing preventing us is  getting ahead of ourselves.......I like the Team's motto of taking it 1 game at a time ...you win the next game and take it game by game and we will have a  chance to play in the superbowl

I'd like to see our running attack by Dwill and Stewart improve a bit, i think there is potential for it to really take off, maybe our oline situation will hold it back but If our running game can get anywhere close to how it was in 2008 I'd feel really good about this teams chances as long as there are no major injuries.

I believe Seattle's stadium may be what stands between us and the Super Bowl. That will be a tough task if that's how it pans out.

I agree. If there are two teams that look unstoppable at home, it's the Saints and Seahawks. The Panthers will be able to prove if they can hang with New Orleans at home - or even beat them - here shortly.

Still, playing against Atlanta yesterday... Brees and company proved they are another team outside the dome. They want to get as many home games as possible, if they make the playoffs. Same goes for Seattle. Of course, anybody wants to play at home but I doubt these two go very deep without being at home.
