How easy (or hard) is it for you to watch games?

I believe the more emotionally invested you are in a game or team, the more nerve racking or enjoyable the game is. I will probably find the Panthers vs Dolphins game more enjoyable than the Patriots vs Broncos game on SNF. 

 

I agree.  I actually find it hard to watch games I am not emotionally invested in, cannot remember the last time I sat down and paid attention to one.

especially with this team... i never relax.  and like games like this sunday are the worst.  big games against teams we're better than, but still will have to play well to win.  so nervous already

I get way to amped up. I start the game screeming at the TV ever time someone drops a pass or makes a tackle. Then I get all clammy my feet sweat and get cold. By the 4th quarter I can't cheer much less speak and I just watch in silence feeling a wave of relief with every good play. Even now after 6 straight wins I feel like it could all be undone. We could finish the season 1-3 just the way we started it. No game is a gimme.

I used to invest my entire life into the team. Then I learned the truth: it's just a game. Getting angry, fed up, overly hyped, insulted, etc. over this team is a waste of my own life. I live in the best city in the world. I watch the team each week, but there is so much more out there than the Panthers. Life is too short to punch walls or yell at the TV.

I'm always so friggen pumped during a game that I honestly can't remember certain parts of the game when it's over, And NO ITS NOT the beer. Lol. Just nerves.

It is easier when we flat out stink like 2010. It is however, more enjoyable when we are in the playoff hunt, but also more stressful.

Also, every year I complain about not having more primetime national TV games, but whenever we do I stress out because I don't want us to lay an egg and play like poo when the whole nation is watching.

For instance, nearly the entire "Cam Newton sophomore slump" narrative derived from the Giants game last season. All opinions were formed off that one game and then became a self fulfilling prophecy.

But being in the hunt is so much more fun.

My family gets scared. I'm a very quiet guy. I rarely have much to say and rarely get emotional. Then you turn on the football game and the crazy happens. And I don't mean that in a bad way, I'm usually more fun on Sundays.

I take my anxiety meds everyday late at night... on Sundays I take them at 1pm.

 

That should tell you something.
