Everette Brown: Training, training, training...

the Peppers hate sure is putting a lot of pressure on this kid....not smart in my opinion

The fact remains that you CANNOT replace Peppers with anything in the NFL right now. Hate him if you want because he wants the hell out of Carolina but he will not be replaced by Brown and most likely will never be replaced. He was/is that special.

You people have to repeatedly attack his character so you can feel good and accept losing something you cannot replace physically. All this despite the fact that he has done nothing wrong. Please don't expect Brown to come in and get 12 sacks this year. Don't set yourselves up to find something personally to pick on him about when he does not live up to your whacked-out predictions and daydreams.

just a bit of advice

Quarterback Steak with Brown Pepper Sauce !

If Brown get 6 sacks in his first year I'll be ecstatic. But he'll need to get the minutes to get it done. Meeks will get Brown and Peppers bringing it at the same time. Peppers will draw the double giving Brown every opportunity to Shine and grow his confidence. Believing you can do something is a big plus.

who's expecting 12 sacks out of Brown?... he wont even be starting.

and last time i checked Peppers is still a panther, so lets not worry about his replacement

Have you been reading the board?

Plenty of people are ready for Pep to leave and are saying that all Brown needs is one season to replace him and all I am saying is that that is ridiculous.

We should not worry about his replacement because of exactly what you said so I am glad you agree there. Plus he really cannot be replaced completely so there is no reason to worry about it at all.

mostly in other threads but this is the one talking about who the second coming is supposed to be..That is why its here. Plus there is a bit of Pep bashing in here too.

If this was a Colt's fan board, and people happened to mention that Peyton is not exactly the best QB in the world at scrambling outside the pocket, it wouldn't mean we don't like the guy. He's great at every other aspect of the QB position. Facts are just facts. Pep relies on freakish god given talent, and has no heart and usually runs half-motor. I'm not knocking the guy, it is what it is. He is a great talent and I'm glad he's on our team because like you said before, no one in the NFL or coming up in the college ranks any time soon can replace him.

So don't feel obligated to run to Pep's defense and blame the barber everytime someone in here says they don't like Pep's haircut.

I would be ecstatic too. Beyond even. That would be perfect. I really wish everyone had not take the "12 sacks" comment so literally. I thought I made it clear enough that the post was about not painting Brown as the replacement and I see anyone who supposedly "replaces" Pep as working on a double digit sack total every year.

Looks like that was all I had to say for people to float back down to reality a bit concerning a rookie. I am happy about the potential for this rookie too but I am not letting my hate ( i personally don't harbor any) for Julius and his not signing a contract to cause me to invest more into the guy than is warranted and in turn put some extra pressure on him by way of expectation. I see that happening a lot. Thinking he will come in and alleviate the pain many people are experiencing with this Peppers thing is a bad road to go down and can lead to disappointment.

As far as Peppers goes I guess it wasn't enough to bash the guy's character and attack him personally for some people so now they are projecting their disgust onto Brown by way of crowning him the next King a bit too early IMO.

OK OK, I am not defending him and he has nothing that requires his defense as you have so eloquently demonstrated in you last post. I do not think however that the majority of people who say he is freakishly talented but "has no heart" and "runs at half-motor" are "not knocking the guy".

YOU might be the only fan alive who makes those statements, deems them as "Facts" and then says you aren't knocking the guy actually.

weird ..but if you say so

I know it's the offseason and you love nothing more than to argue with everyone to pass the time, and that's fine by me. Maybe fact wasn't the right word. Is there some scientific proof that he takes plays off or isn't giving it 100% all the time like a lot of other guys do? No, I guess there isn't. But there also isn't scientific evidence that proves there is a god, or that women automatically think they own your balls once you get married, but I strongly believe both of those things to be true. So I apologize for saying it was fact.

If anyone pays respect to Pep and showers him with praises and then simply points out his minimal flaws, you jump to defend him is all I'm saying. Let it go.

let what go? fekking hilarious

the word "fact" had very little to do with how ridiculous your last post was and how transparently you contradicted yourself. If that is your opinion and you post it here, you are knocking the guy and that is fine. That is what boards like this are for. Just don't lie about it. If his play bothers you admit as much. It's not that hard.. Especially since you "strongly" believe it.

GotDamn some of you emmeffers are loco en la cabeza sometimes

and you don't have to apologize to me for anything. I don't give a sh|t?

If you roll up to my house in a brand new Ferrari, and I can't stop gawking at it and rambling on about how awesome it is, but then say I don't like the color, I am not knocking your shiny new car. But this thread has been c-rolled enough, and I hate to do that to the OP.
