Regarding Cameron Wake....

I guess stats don't show much then because he has only 19 tackles and 6.5 sacks. 5.5 of those sacks came against 2 teams, Cincy and Cleveland.  So in 6 games he had none.  Not exactly beast material.  In fact it looks like a big drop off from last year where he had 15 sacks.

He was injured(first time in his career) before the Saints game (OUT) and played only a handful of snaps against the Ravens and Bills before officially coming back against the Pats. So he has 19 tackles and 6.5 sacks in 7 games. Wake started the season off slow but seems to be getting back to 100%. You are clearly underestimating one of the best pass-rushers in the NFL.

I think you are living in the past. This year he is 19th on the sack list.  He also started every game except NO and in three of the past 5 games he had 0 sacks.  He may have been a great pass rusher last year but at 31 years old he may be running out of gas.  He reminds me of Peppers, great one game then disappears the next.

Living in the past? You sound very idiotic right now. What did you not get about Wake's snaps being limited against Buffalo and Baltimore?  He played 3 snaps against the Bills and sat the rest of the game out and only played up til' halftime against the Ravens if you didn't know. I'm not about to argue with someone who is being oblivious.

And you sound like a blind homer living in the past.  5.5 of those 6.5 sacks happened in 2 games.  Discount and make excuses for 3 games, who cares. The reality is that outside of Cincy and Cleveland he has done nothing all year including 2 weeks ago against Tampa.  Like I said, he is like Peppers was for us.  Some weeks he looked like a world beater, other games he disappeared. He is on the downside of his career, it happens. He will 32 in January.  Look at how he compares to Charles Johnson.  Johnson only has 3 games out of 10 where he doesn't have a sack.   Wake only has 3 games where he does have a sack.  Not exactly dominant.  Sure blame injuries or whatever you want but the result is the same.  He is not the dominant force he was last year.  Plain and simple.

Wake's a Beast.........he suffered a bad MCL sprain this year and he's just coming back to full strength.  There have been no issues of Wake disappearing...........his motor is always running.

So the fact that he started off last season with no sacks in the first three games, 9 of his sacks in 3 games, definitely meant he was on a decline then.  Oh wait, he finished the year with 15. Sacks are not the only thing that makes a pass-rusher good, pressures and hits do also and guess who lead in that department last year?  You're trying your best to reach but its not working. Not saying he's the best pass-rusher in the NFL, but there is no denying that he's top 10 at his position. Ask anyone who's not a Panthers fan who are the top pass-rushers in the NFL and Wake's name will come up. When I see him declining I'll let you know.

There is a very easy way to negate a good pass rush, Brady showed us how to do it on Monday... it's called get the ball out quickly.

Issue is you don't have Tom Brady....

That's like saying Daryl Washington showing someone how to shadow Newton and not having a Washington on your roster.

Giants out out the blueprint on Brady years ago....doesn't mean teams have the bodies to execute such

Then why are the overwhelming majority of sacks in only 2 games. His motor runs awfully hot and cold.  Great 1 week, nothing the next.

Wake is a one trick pony that can do little but rush the passer, he has 19 tackles which is pretty paltry.  He is not a complete player and at 250 gets pushed out of the way in the run game.  And lets remember that Wake was a top pass rusher, this year he is tied for 19.  Julius Peppers has been a top pass rusher for years but this year he has 4 sacks and is in decline.  He is 33 years old just like Wake will be a year and 2 months from now.  Enjoy him because his best days are behind him.
