SB Nation slams JR

It's something a lot of guys in his position wouldn't do.

But then I'm sure you can find a way to spin what he did for Greg Olsen and his attending the funeral of a fan he never even met as proof he's evil too

But a random internet guy who claims to know people is a reliable source, right?

I already said what he did for Olsen was awesome/

I also said it earlier that it is easy to be nice to people who make you money, pay you money, or agree with everything you say.

Except he didn't have to do anything at all. Quite a few owners don't.

And how exactly would he know random tailgaters he approached were people who 'agreed with everything he said'?

But hey, it doesn't fit your narrative. Therefore it doesn't matter, right?

I get it. You have your opinion and you will arrange your points accordingly. I used to really like JR too till I learned enough to not be able to.

I would hope you're old and wise enough to realize that bad people sometimes do good things and good people sometimes do bad. It's the body of work as a whole that you have to look at.

Again the reason I'm not really going into detail is that it's pointless: I could show video of Jerry Richardson punting puppies off the  500 section and there'd still be a bunch of apologist saying "But he answered my letter and helped Greg Olsen avoid commercial airflight DURR DURR."

You can believe whatever you want to, but don't be surprised when the rest of the world doesn't wear Panther Blue glasses.

Sadly, even Cowboy fans are able to distinguish the team from the owner.

Pro tip: Adult males really shouldn't regularly use emoticons.

Many of Jerry's contemporaries are family friends of ours from when my folks lived in downtown Spartanburg in the early 70's and they will almost all tell you one thing about Jerry Richardson: He is a horrid human being that made his fortune off of his partner's hard work and smarts. I don't know of anybody that has nice things to say about him from the old neighborhood.

And I personally remember when our school went from making lunches themselves to having to be supplied by Spartan Foods. We went from delicious, balanced, homemade meals to cheap-as-you-can-make-it slop.

Yeah he brought the team here, but he is nothing to be proud of for sure.

Your family friends are in a minority.

And folks with an agenda can ignore every good thing someone does and still proclaim "he's a bad person"

I've never met Richardson, but the things I've read from loads of people who have, including people who have worked directly with him, paint him as an overall good guy.

But of course, he's rich, so in your world, he must be evil. "Good deeds be damned. It's all a facade. I know people who say he's awful. So there!"

Riiiiight

This was inevitable.

Well, you're citing "family friends," when I have met the man many times. Other people here also have had positive personal experiences with Mr. Richardson. But, go ahead ... use your second-hand "friends" sources.

I know, personally, Mr. Richardson to be a very warm, personable and generous man. There are more stories than the Olsen one or the one of his attending a PSL owner's funeral. Stories you'll never hear or read about in the media.
