SB Nation slams JR

I could give two fugs about JR being a great person. He isn't my relative, or friend...he doesn't influence my child. Who gives a poo. All I care is how he affects the Panthers and the product he sells me. He doesn't give a poo about fans either, like said he is a buisness man all he cares about is the money he gets from his product. His product has sucked, and he has hurt it more than helped. I hate JR as an owner, he is emabarrassing at times and looking at the bigger picture we have had more crap seasons from his bullshit than we should. Just because he is a good buisness man and human being have nothing to do with my panthers, the product I pay him for from my hard earned money. I don't really care about him firing his sons...I mean they sucked and he sucked, not like there has been much success since then so whatever.

I don't know why people act like JR is some kind of family member. Who fuging cares, try to win, don't hurt the team, and put PSL owners first because they are the real reason we have a team, NOT JR. JR does not do this so I can't wait for a new owner. That siad, there are worse owners (a few) out there but 'not being the worst' is a pretty low standard.

JR made a nice personal gesture for one of his players but has also been outspoken against justified players who have become physically handicapped because of playing this game

So the lesson here is that unless you serve some sort of purpose for him he couldn't give less of a poo what your plight is. If Greg Olsen never got traded here you think he would support him the way he did? Nah.

It's also important to note that JR has said he makes an effort to keep the same expression/demeanor in the box regardless of how good/bad the team is doing because he believes it has a steadying effect on the team and the fans... but clearly the "author" wasn't aware of that.

It's BR. I don't know if these guys are aware of anything sports related.

I did not even read it, why would I read BR? I don't see a sense in that. Amusement maybe.

Perspective is a funny thing.  I read it as spreading unsubstantiated 3rd party gossip rather than an "anecdote".

I'm sure there is more Delhommey can add to make his statement that JR is a "horrid man" more plausible.... but I'm ok if he passes on it.

I mean to what end? Anything I put up will just be met with yelps of "Oh I'm supposed to believe some old lady from Nowhere, South Carolina?!" from those who refuse to believe Jerry is anything but a Saint and a great man cause he knows how to climb over people.

Myself, I take data points on people and they all add up to JR being a not-so-great human being. Personally as long as he stays out of personnel decisions and doesn't move the team or try to ruin the NFL for his personal gain again, I could care less.

Many of Jerry's contemporaries are family friends of ours from when my folks lived in downtown Spartanburg in the early 70's and they will almost all tell you one thing about Jerry Richardson: He is a horrid human being that made his fortune off of his partner's hard work and smarts. I don't know of anybody that has nice things to say about him from the old neighborhood.

And I personally remember when our school went from making lunches themselves to having to be supplied by Spartan Foods. We went from delicious, balanced, homemade meals to cheap-as-you-can-make-it slop.

Yeah he brought the team here, but he is nothing to be proud of for sure.

If there's one thing I learned about my few times living off and on in South Carolina (including my military years), the "moneyed" and "social" families of South Carolina may run in the same circles, but very few of them actually LIKE each other.

And they like who they consider "outsiders" even less.

Jerry Richardson is the most approachable and friendly billionaire I have ever had the pleasure to meet.

The man is not without flaw but he's as genuine as they come. I pride myself on seeing through fake people and those that put on a "good face" in public. I was literally humbled by his demeanor and presence. He spoke to us like we were old friends and you could see in his face and hear in his voice how thankful he was for our support. All the man wanted in return was a deviled egg to go.

It remains one of the coolest moments in my Pantherhood.

This is nothing more than the same irresponsible muck raking filth journalism that we have had to endure from the so called media towards our QB. There is no difference here. Just a cheap shot attack on a good man.

Wow, how many billionaires have you met?

Well Charlie Bradshaw is well liked, and Roger Milken, a rich Yankee buisnessman, is still highly regarded throughout Spartanburg.

I know the people who told the stories. I know their biases. If you don't want to believe Richardson isn't the best of people, well then don't. It's a free country.

people have a need to feel connected to someone famous. I lived in kannapolis in 2001 when dale earnhardt died. everyone had their stories about they were great friends with dale at some point or another. apparently 90% of kannapolis females turned him down for the prom, even when they would have been like 7 years old when he was in high school.
