You guys understand that ESPN just wants ratings right? They could give two shits what the correct call was. They are laughing to the bank at all the clickies theyre getting.

One thing we all know is that if we were the team trying to score and they were they defense at the end of the game. The media would have long ago said "nothing to see here, move along".

There would be no sports science except to prove that the ball was uncatchable, LOL. I really can't stand the National media. It was obvious that the sports science guy was bitter at the end when he quoted Tom Brady and his very not family friendly words.

My favorite argument is what if Lester had tipped the ball up then Gronk could've made a play on the ball.

News flash, once the ball is tipped then Kuechly's hug is legal. Since the refs said the contact was simultaneous(2/3rds of a second running 16 mph and then having to turn around locate, dive through Kuechly and Lester) the play still stands.

If you watch it you see Lester making a play towards the ball, while Gronkowski is just starting to turn and look for it.

Yup. Lester breaks on the ball before Gronk even has any idea where it is.  The ball was underthrown so Gronk would have had to have been looking back and broken off his route.

Lester was in front of the ball WELL before Gronk could possibly have made a play - unless he went for offensive pass interference, anyway.

The thing that bugs me the most is, let's just say the ending was reversed and Cam's pass was picked off to end the game. Do you think ESPN would waste 80% of it's air-time defending the Panthers? I think not.

I'm not saying that the Pats don't have a case (although I feel they wrong)... but the second the Panthers have a chance at getting some notice from the national media, it's wasted because at the end of the day they always find a way to keep the conversation about the same handful of NFL teams. They refund to allow the Panthers into their party. That is what bugs me the most.
