Double Dip Drafting

Mr. Scot

Recommended Posts

I don't care how we do it, as long as we come out of the draft with a legit passing target and chain mover and a player with solid potential to be a good OT within the next 2 or 3 years. So it could be either WR/OT or TE/OT, and those individuals do not necessarily have to come with our 1st two picks.

It's also possible we are envisioning Chandler developing into a starting tackle at some point in the future. That is not outside the realm of possibility.

Every play starts in the trenches. We solved the defensive side this past draft, now it is time to beef up the o-line with quality players. If you have a good o-line the wide receivers will get open. We do need to try to find a diamond in the rough type wr to take a chance on in 3rd or 4th round. Maybe a young guy in FA. We will eventually get that next Steve Smith. Remember Steve was considered a return man coming out of college.

If we double dip, do it on the OL. I don't see the benefit of taking two receivers. I don't think there would be very hard to fully integrate two new receivers into the offense. We don't throw like the Saints do. One receiver would be great, but double dipping would be foolish IMO. Cornerback, I could see. But OL is the better choice.

OLine all the way. OL effects the game on more levels protects Cam, open holes for the RB, allows WR to get in & out of their routes . The ones who are clamoring for WR smarten up. Where having to max protect the majority of the time & because Cam is so big & strong & great at alluding sacks is why our line looks half way decent. Not saying we don't need a WR. OLine much bigger need. How does a WR protect Cam?? Oh wait they don't!

I wouldnt say most underrated player in the league, but def a very, very underrated corner in the league. This defense who is already legitimate, could legitimize itself as the best in the NFL with an addition like Alterraun Verner.

Has allowed the lowest passer rating for those throwing against him this season (as of last week I believe). He's a monster that absolutely nobody talks about.
