Double Dip Drafting

Mr. Scot

Recommended Posts

Online without a doubt. We have some decent receivers. Maybe not a true #1 but we have a good one in Smitty and Olsen and average with the rest.

Our oline is not getting any younger. If the oline doesn't block and give the play time to develop then it doesn't matter who your receiver is. I would love to see Cam have 5 plus seconds on every play.

Part of me says OLine because that's a glaring need and I do not want Cam hurt. But, part of me says well having a medicore OLine might be good in forcing Cam to make decisions quicker and have a release like Peyton does.

At this point I don't care what's taken first and second as long as its not a fuggin running back. I could take TE, OL, WR or CB. I trust GM to make good decisions.

At this point, Gettlemen has looked like a draft genius.  I am nobody to question what picks Gettlemen does or does not make.  If he decides to draft 2 Oline or 2 WR, or 2 DBs.. I will be 100% supportive of whatever picks he makes, until he shows me he isn't the draft genius I think him to be.

I hope Gettlemen thinks drafting an Oline and WR with our first 2 picks is in our best interest, however.  :)

Well let's clarify double dipping a bit. Star and KK are both DTs but they have different skill sets.

So I would not be happy with a true double dip of either WRs or OL, but if you asked me about which general position I would rather get with 1st and 2nd rounds, I'd go with WR/TE.

Another passing catching TE and a true number 1 outside receiver would add multiple options to offense.

Its not even close in my opinion. You gotta go OL

You guys saw what a great DL has done. Our corners and safeties actually look good. The trickle down effect is amazing when you build from the Line out.

what do you think will happen if we improve our OL like our DL. Cam has more time thus becomes a better qb. The WR have more time thus better WRs. The RB have more holes to run thru thus better run game. Remember smash and dash back in 2008 when we were one of the best rushing teams in the league. We get back to that with a more improved OL

I wish we had seen what Kugbilla could do. If he turned into a starter then Gettleman is indeed a genius.
