Go ahead and accept the fact this is Peppers last year.

Let Peppers do what he thinks is good for him, we will do whats good for us.

In the end, someone will win, and as long as we franchise him its us.

And in a "potential" uncapped year who cares how much money it is if we arent writing the checks!

Richardson WILL spend the money to make us a SB contender.

No way will I acccept that as a fact now. I am thinking that it's probably 70/30 or 60/40 that Pep will be here throughout his career. If Meeks can show him that the defense will play to his strengths, then why would Pep leave his home?

I don't care what somebody makes. I just know the economics and Pep's age doesn't match up too well right now for the Panthers.

Exactly. Guys are paid what teams are willing to give them. I've got no problem with that. However, that doesn't mean I always think it's close to what they are "worth" in terms of value as a player.

The sooner you do that, the better you will feel as well as embrace Everette Brown.

I am fine with that...we can take that 20 million bucks that he wants and spend it on a load of players elsewhere. Everette and Charles Johnson will be fine at the DE spot in the next couple of years. Think of the possibilities that we could buy with that extra Pep money. Soooo many possibilities.

Brown has never played a down and Charles Johnson is average at best......how does that make you feel good about the next years minus Pep? Pep right now is the DL.

I agree for the most part -- but I'm excited about Brown and feel he'll do well in Meeks defense. Still, with him unproven, a "Pep-less" D would a great cause for concern (that sounds like some horrible joke. i'll never write that again).

So, cause they didn't get a long term contract worked out in two weeks, he's gone?

I've already embraced Brown. Peppers has nothing to do with doing that.

Peppers is far from gone. He has this season, in which he may decide he wants to only play for the Panthers. If not, then we'll cross that bridge when we get there. It won't be difficult for me. Don't know why people gotta dramatise everything.
