I thought about this too...we could bring in young talent and use Pep when we need him.

Either way, I really want Hardy to stay, but the old school Pep fan in me wants to see him come back and retire a Panther.

I don't care that he left, I just hate that we looked like that crazy, dependent, soon to be ex-girl friend standing in the door as he tried to break up with us.

I was a Pep fan too, but towards the end he looked complacent and disenfranchised. I do not want that near any of our up and coming players.

So let me start off by making the following statements:

1 I don't want Hardy to walk

2 right now Hardy > Pep

3 many people are still butt hurt that Pep left, this is an entirely different conversation, but I don't blame Pep for wanting to go elsewhere, I blame the FO

4 Pep will go down as one of the Top all time Panthers ever, and to repair his relationship with the Carolina's, he should come back ON THE CHEAP, play his ass off, and finish his career and retire a Panther.

5 there has been talk in Chicago this season that they may cut him

I honestly like some of the rotational players we have behind Hardy compared to Pep. Peppers at this point is a name...I'd welcome him back, but only on the cheap and barring we don't draft a replacement for Hardy.

I'd rather bring talented guys with more heart/spirit than a freak athlete that takes plays off.  Having a leader in those positions that have to learn better technique play to compensate for not being 6'8".  Everyone learns more and is inspired by the hard worker.  Find someone that's both?  Gravy.  But everyone can't have a JJ Watt.

No retreads please...that ship has sailed. Hardy may very well leave, not much we can do if another team wants to break the bank for him.You best believe DG won't be pressured to do something stupid.We will see what tricks our GM has up his sleeve if this happens.
