Say we split with the saints

If we get the WC it will likely be the 5th seed...sending us to prob the nfce winner (Dallas or Philly). Win the division and we likely get a bye

It's not conference record that's the tiebreaker, it's common games. And saints are +1 on us right now.

I just don't see us sweeping the saints. They are about as hot as we are right now.

The way there playing and their record is the only sure way is to Sweep them and get the division title. Control our own destiny!

How is it not conference record when we lost to the Cards, Seahawks, and presuming a split the Saints. They haven't lost to any NFC Teams this year.

 

 

Everyone has legitimately forgot we swept them last year and beat them in the Super Dome with an inferior team and didn't even have Chris Gamble. Not to mention it was the end of the year for them and they pretty much had things figured out by then.

 

oh my bad... when i looked at the tiebreakers, i assumed the Saints would lose to the 9ers. 

 

had they, the losses in the NFC for each team would have been:

 

Carolina: Seattle, Arizona, New Orleans

New Orleans: Seattle, San Fran, Carolina

 

giving an equal conference record. regardless... my point remains the same. the Taints would win the tiebreakers at the end of the season unless we beat them both times.
