Remaining schedules:

Panthers (7-3)

@ Miami

TAMPA BAY

@ New Orleans

NY JETS

NEW ORLEANS

@ Atlanta

Saints (8-2)

@ Atlanta

@ Seattle

CAROLINA

@ St. Louis

@ Carolina

TAMPA BAY

If we split, we'll have a max of 12-4, Saints 13-3. The Saints have that tough game at Seattle left so let's assume they lose it. If we both finish 12-4 with our only loss being to the Saints and the Saints only losing to us once and to the Seahawks, every playoff generator out there has the Saints still winning the division and the tiebreaker. I'm too lazy to figure out why, probably NFC record since we both would be 5-1 in the NFC South and split head-to-head. And this is assuming we have no letdowns against any other team to go 11-5.

The tough reality is that we either need to beat the Saints twice and finish the year 13-3 on a 12 game winning streak (this is not impossible) or we need to hope that the Saints lose to the Seahawks, us once, AND have a trip up against one of those other teams (not likely). I think the easier path and the one that we control our own destiny on is to just win every game. Let's not talk about splitting with New Orleans, let's keep this streak going and punch the Saints in the mouth both in New Orleans and here.

And yes it would be due to NFC conference record. The Saints will likely get that tiebreaker vs us: We would end with 3 NFC losses (Seattle, Arizona, New Orleans) and they would end up with 2 (Carolina, Seattle).

So it's paramount we just win out. If we win out, we're guaranteed that 2 seed (Seattle probably has that 1 seed on lockdown).

I think we beat Saints at home, but idk about if we beat them in the super dome… I think it'll be a close one in NO and could go either way

are you serious?? the 49ers practically GAVE the saints the win.. they are beatable anywhere. they had the last defense in the leauge last year for a reason, and it wasnt coaching. they aint that good.

Ive actually taken time to review the tiebreakers. the conference record would be the same. it went to strength of victory. If we split with them and their only other loss is to Seattle, their strength of victory would be greater than ours. i agree with the "win out" mentality. otherwise we have to depend on some pansy beating the Saints. Possible, but not as probable as the Panthers running the table IMO
