"That dude Thomas Davis came back from 3 ACL surgeries?!?!"

I forgot to make mention of this Monday night. On Twitter, both "Thomas Davis" and "3 ACL" were trending in the US after either Mike Tirico or Jon Gruden made quick mention of the fact that Thomas Davis had come back from 3 ACL surgeries and is back playing at such a high level. I checked Twitter to see what people were saying and it was obvious that this was a story that 99% of Monday Night Football viewers had never heard before.

Think about that. This is one of the most remarkable injury comebacks IN THE HISTORY OF PROFESSIONAL SPORTS AND HARDLY ANYONE KNOWS ABOUT IT. THIS is why fans of small market teams HATE national NFL media like BSPN. If this had been the second best defensive player on the Cowboys or Patriots or Bears etc. like it is the Panthers, then TD would have had a 30 for 30 made about him by now, he would have won an Espy, he would have been neck and neck with Peyton Manning last year for Comeback Player of the Year, he would have gotten Favre levels of attention. BUT YET THIS STORY IS BASICALLY UNKNOWN. I didn't watch the pregame show, but apparently it was 90% Patriots talk. There could have and should have been a segment on TD's battles with his knee, nope, sorry.

Stuff like this is why I only watch ESPN now during big live sporting events like Monday Night Football. They pander to the lowest common denominator, just turn this stuff off to give them the signal you're sick of it.

No, his story is so mindblowing, it should be well-known by now around the country even if was playing on the 2-14 Jaguars. If he was on these bigger market teams that have been losing this year like the Giants or Steelers or Cowboys, you don't think this story would still have gotten monumental attention?

And yet ESPN elected to do a story about Belichick's daughters coaching career over doing a story about TD.

Slow down...

child please! TD is causing fumbles, shutting down and knocking key players with clean hits, he lays the force down on anyone in his way, not to mention his tackles, and though one would argue Luke is, TD wasn't draped over a WR at the end of the game. though we got the right technical call, the truth be told, Luke help blew that Buffalo game. just saying! unless you're arguing Charles Johnson?
