As much as I would have liked to see one more play from the 1 yard line, I'm glad that the refs picked up the flag. The Panthers got in Brady's face and forced a under throw, and Gronk made no effort to come back for the ball. Getting that call would have felt cheap.

The Pats played undisciplined football on defense and Ridley fumbled again. The Panthers, despite getting no traction in their run game found a way to get it done. 0 turnovers and great third down percentage... That's how you win in this league.

Actually, that was legit. Timeout was clearly called with 6 secs left, so moving the clock from 4 to 6 was entirely appropriate.

 

On the other hand, I'm just glad Dobson didn't single-handedly beat us. You know, the guy one of the Patriot fans told us was a cross between Jerry Rice and Randy Moss..... (insert evil laugh here).

I hate the Patriots as a team, and Brady as an opponent, but to act like he's not one of the greatest QBs of all time, and a first ballot HOFer is silly. I don't think there will be any repercussions for it, but if anyone should be penalized for the spying issue, it's Belichick. He's the one that makes those calls.

 

Our second year MLB made Brady appear almost average, that is what I took away from this game, and that is extremely exciting for the future of the Panthers.

Your city is finished in the NFL sporting world. Just know that that call last night signified and end to favoritism in Bahstahn. Your QB is one year away from hobbling for the rest of his life and while he'll be well looked after by his supermodel wife for a year or two until she divorces him, the cheating the Pats did as a team could only be forgiven if you actually proved you could win a ring without cheating.

Anyway, I was traveling back yesterday so couldn't post my congratulations. It was a good game, and the better team won. You hate to see a game end on a play like that, but what can you do? The Pats should have never been in that situation anyway, but they got beat on several occasions and didn't deserve that win anyway. Once they gave up that first down on the Newton scramble late in the game, it was all over.

 

Good game Carolina people. It was fun for sure, and really one of the best games of the week. My only question is, was it just me that felt like the fans were acting as if the Panthers just won the SB?

Yeah Brady was definitely moving the ball pretty well.... especially after our best pass rusher got leg wipped out of the game.   Things may have been a lot different with a 15 yard penalty there and/or Johnson plays the whole game.  Case in point?  When he got back out there Brady was running for his life.   No one is talking about that dirty play though, typical.  That play also has lasting effects since we probably are without CJ for Miami and maybe longer.

Someone is a little angry...jeez. I think class is congratulating the other team when they win and acknowledging when the better team wins. In this case, I am congratulating the other team's fans for their team being the better team.

 

Not quite sure that this win would qualify as an "ass kicking" either. Seemed to come down to the last drive, and the last play, which would not make it an "ass kicking".

 

There is such a thing as a sore winner...stop acting like one.

 

Congrats again Panthers Fans. Most of you that I ran into, spoke with in my seats and tailgated with were great people and welcoming into your city and stadium. All in all, it was a good place to see the game.
