i ate my crow a while back.

there's still that little matter of the wildcat.

that needs to stop.

why would we EVER need to run that play?

if we had an immobile QB...maybe i can see it. that just ain't even close to the case, tho.

someone needs to ask that in a press conference.

The only logical reason is a setup for a Dwill pass at some point. EVERYONE knows we are gonna run so if we ever do it again it has been established so we better pass the damn ball. If it is they have been committed to one hell of  a setup for two years maybe they  are saving for the suberbowl lol

We're running it for one very simple reason.

One game, when we really need it, we're going to throw cam the ball.

My money is on the 2nd saints game.

didnt see this and I agree although it may not be to Cam I think Dwill will throw the ball. Didnt he throw it once years ago the first season we used it? I know armanti did but for some reason I thought Dwill threw one

THe only time I'm fine with the Wildcat is if Newton runs 70 yards and only gains about 15 (like when he converted that 3 and 8 or something or other last night). That is the only situation I see Wildcat helping.

there are still shula plays that make me scratch my head.

Like when we ran an edge sweep to tolbert.

I guarantee you 100 PERCENT, that no matter who the OC is, you will scratch your head at times. There is no perfect coordinator just as their is no perfect person. Got to look at the overall body of work this year and our record.

on a given team of professional athletes, there are a number of players with the ability to throw a ball.

Actually Fua could have zinged that ball right in there.

No seriously on topic I'll take my crow baked, please with a side of cranberry sauce in keeping with the season. It's amazing but I could not have been more wrong about Shula and Cam.

That wildcat would've worked if they had snapped the ball faster.  They had the defense shuffling and would've caught them out of place if they had just snapped the ball sooner. I was yelling at the tv, NOW! NOW! They need to set & snap the ball faster while the defense is still shuffling. Shift --> Set ---> Snap in under 3 seconds.

They keep running the wildcat because Deangelo is eventually going to throw it. Probably saving it for playoffs.

I wasn't a fan of Shula...and I'm still not. If you put the defense from the last two years in place of the AWESOME one we have now, we would suck. Shula is average at best. Statistically we have one of the worst offenses in football.
