Did anyone else notice on the Patriots last drive the camera tries to get up close on Cam and he just looks the cameraman in the eyes and pushes the camera aside and basically says "GTFO!" because he wanted to see the action on the field. No mugging, no smiles, no waving and self-aggrandizing. Just totally focused on how the defense was doing.

Can't remember exactly when, but didn't Smitty say Cam would be the league MVP in 3-4 years during Cam's rookie season? This is why it's taken so long. Smitty knew he was raw and just needed time and the maturation that comes with it to take the next step.

 

Rivera, Cam and this entire team's character has been forged in fire. This year isn't a fluke. Everything this team has been through over the past 3 years was needed to get to this point. I am confident the Carolina Panthers can beat any team in the NFL right now.

I love how Cam conducted himself on and off the field last night (and, yes I did notice). 

 

The ONLY criticism that I have is on a couple of passes that he forced into coverage trying to do too much (Chucky mentioned them).  Just like Luke, I think Cam got lost in the moment a couple of times. Luckily fate was with us last night.
