Oh really NE? You lost on a controversial call? That's...

Could we say it this way and be correct?

Keek interferred with Gronk and was flagged for it (PI).

The penalty was not assesed because the ball was both uncatchable and was intercepted.

If the ball had, for example,  been in the air close to or hit Gronk on the helmet while keek was holding his arms down, the penalty would have been assesed.

Right?

Best regards,

Just re-watched the Dilweed Young rant about the last play, I am appalled at the lack of talent these guys have as announcers. I have lost respect for Gruden to, (what very little I had in the first place). Sorry sorry commentary, they never have made such a fuss on other teams controversial calls...such one sided it's so obvious. Fug all of them.

If the shoe was on the other foot,it wouldn't have been a controversial call!

It is funny that everyone thinks they lost due to that call.  First of all there is no guarantee they go in from the 1 if they get the call. I remember that we stopped them on 4th and 1 earlier in the game which is why they elected to kick a field goal earlier in the fourth quarter instead of going for it.

Secondly how many of their drives were extended by penalties and other calls in their favor.  On the drive where they ultimately fumbled, we stopped them on 4th down, then stopped them on third down only to have penalties extend the drives.  It was only sweet justice they fumbled.  Later in the second half at least 1 of their TD drives was extended by penalties and that last drive was extended by 2 penalties not including the flag which was picked up.  If not for penalties I doubt they score 13 points.

Yeah I know we had a drive extended with penalties but honestly they seemed to get the majority of them.  Something they ignore amidst all the bitching.

On one of crybaby Bradys TD drives I saw a lot of holding/muggings by their oline that wasn't called!

That one play caused such a media firestorm that it totally overshadowed our legitimate win. The ex-player talking heads couldn't care less about the facts in the rule book, they wanted to keep the Boston market watching. And what was with Steve Young talking about Ginn like he's a joke and shouldn't have been able to score that TD. He kept harping on it and repeating himself. News flash, when you put a terrible DB alone on an extremely fast WR a big offensive play is not shocking.
