Agree with the OP. When the flag went down I was VERY surprised they picked it up. However, I look at it like this (and I am biased as all hell) - the interception would have happened whether Kuechly was there or not. If the refs do not pick the flag up they effectively give the game to the Pats.

Cam deserved to win, the defense played well enough to win and came up with the game ending INT in the end zone. I would rather be on the winning side of a controversial call.

Let's see...if it were a NE backer holding olsen on the last play and the roles were reversed this forum would be on fire and in shambles lol! So for you guys to come at us saints fans for brooks hitting drew with a JBL close line from hell and us agreeing with the call sounds pretty hypocritical right now doesn't it? Im not here to troll just stating i know you guys would be pissed if the roles were reversed! You guys were the Better team yesterday clearly and i think you still win without him holding. Just hope you realize your defense isn't a curtain like you thought and our series will be a slug fest! Im ready

Your slip and insecurity are showing. #Bitch-assed-ness.

Last night was the right call, the NO game it wasn't.

So, no I don't feel hypocritical at all

They called PI it should have been holding would have held up if they called holding.

It couldn't have been holding because the ball was in the air already so pass interference was the only call they could have made. The ball was badly under thrown and Lester caught it which nullified any pass interference call.

What if this was the other way around?  What if Cam was throwing to Olsen, and he was wrapped up?  How would you feel then?  Yet even if you believed the right call was made, what if Brady threw it in the range of Gronk?  Kuechly still bear hugged him without even attempting to play the ball. (Which would have drawn a sure flag)  Kuechly messed up point blank.  Yet as I said before, I wouldn't even make a thread like this if this was an isolated incident.  Kuechly is becoming known for this kind of coverage against good tight ends.  This will bite us in the butt eventually.

it has happened to us recently and while it wasnt in the endzone it ended a drive and a game. I would rather Keek mug him and have it on the one yard line than let him ****** one for 7.

Like my man said, rule says no call try again panthers 7-3 eat a D

The part that really pisses me off is even if Keek didn't mug him he would have not caught that ball. He was 4 yards away and Lester was closer to the ball. It would have been intercepted or batted down regardless.

Fug gronk, fug brady, fug the partriots and fug everything thing about them. We won fair and square, the rules says so.

For you ignorant fugs i said you guys were the better team yesterday hands down. Easily! Offense was efficient and defense was stout for majority of the game. You just aren't anything to be feared sorry lol. Enjoy your success it's well deserved! But that secondary is not the best in the league and it will get Swiss cheesed up in the Dome! Catch us if you can! Lol #itsaRace

Stopped reading when you said it would have been better for the team if he was penalized.........yeah because there's nothing like a loss to help your chemistry and playoff chances. God forbid we use practice and film study to correct mistakes. If you think Rivera is going to let it slid because he wasn't penalized and not point out Luke's error, you're a idiot. One of the worst post i've ever seen

we've had crap like this happen to us for years. games decided against us on questionable calls and non-calls.

it's good being on the other side of it. it feels GREAT for it to happen in our favor against the pats.

we lost a superbowl to them because they cheated. i'll never forget. even if we got away with something here, it doesn't come near repaying them for what they stole from us or what they've stolen from teams throughout the years.

This is exactly my feelings on the matter.

Great post!

I think Luke fugged up. The refs may have ultimately made the right call, but that doesn't completely take Luke off the hook.

If I'm his coach, then yes, I talk to him about it. Kuechly probably already knows he got a bit of a break because, right or wrong, that same call could have easily gone against us.

But it in no way cheapens the victory.

^^^This!

Gronk should have did what Stevie Johnson did in the Bills game. Sold it better. Still proud of this team

Opinions are like assholes... and so are Saints fans...

I thought that the call against SF was fine.  It wasn't the hit, it was the clothes line.  Now, having said that, I don't like the rule, but they called it as the rule reads.  If anything, Keek was guilty of holding, but certainly not DPI.  The ref called DPI and the other ref deemed the ball uncatchable, end of story.  We won.

If you want to know what is going on just watch Gronk. He didn't complain or yell at the ref. He was resigned to losing the game until the flag comes out.

It looks worse in slow motion, but if you look at it in fast motion Gronk cannot make that catch. It would have been an under thrown pick regardless.

It was the right call and Keek did fine

This is what I saw, too.
