It's been said by others, but I'll make it official

Good play by Keek. Playing his man. They usually allow a little more physicality on last second plays, but Gronk was no where near the ball. I didn't even realize he was the one Brady was throwing to

Luke was guarding him much like a basketball player would and was very careful not to grab him with his hands.

What if this was the other way around?  What if Cam was throwing to Olsen, and he was wrapped up?  How would you feel then?  Yet even if you believed the right call was made, what if Brady threw it in the range of Gronk?  Kuechly still bear hugged him without even attempting to play the ball. (Which would have drawn a sure flag)  Kuechly messed up point blank.  Yet as I said before, I wouldn't even make a thread like this if this was an isolated incident.  Kuechly is becoming known for this kind of coverage against good tight ends.  This will bite us in the butt eventually.

It wasn't flag worthy.

If it came down to it,  the Pats would have done the same thing to Olsen and it wouldn't have been called either..           Pats beat the Falcons and the Saints by doing the same thing.    The difference being,  Brady underthrew the ball,  making it uncatchable and letting our guy jump it and get the interception,  making Kuechly's "mugging" of Gronk,  not flag worthy.

If you want to know what is going on just watch Gronk. He didn't complain or yell at the ref. He was resigned to losing the game until the flag comes out.

It looks worse in slow motion, but if you look at it in fast motion Gronk cannot make that catch. It would have been an under thrown pick regardless.

It was the right call and Keek did fine

i can't understand looking at a win of this magnitude and finding something to complain about....unless you didn't want the panthers to win.

pull the corn cob out of your ass and enjoy the win. there is no downside to it. there are no asterisk wins. the pats have gotten away with non-calls and cheating for years. are we on the other side of that finally? did we get away with something big in the end? if so...WHOO HOOO!!!! the pats got a taste of their own medicine. but right now who cares? WE BEAT THE PATS AFTER A BYE WEEK ON MNF!!!! WE'VE WON 6 STRAIGHT GAMES!

milk it.

Gronk never made a play on the ball so Keek was face guarding him and was going to react to what Gronk did.

Thank you!!! This is a made for tv BS because Brady lost to a lesser team.

We all know how twisted the psychology of those who work for the Sports Media can be. If it was Cam who threw that ball, the headlines would be, Pats won a THRILLING come from behind game or something like that. Those same folks who are crying like babies over some fake controversy, would be replaying the highlights and saying exactly what you're saying. Not only was the ball not catchable but both the guys were out of bounds and the ball was way short.

They're acting like Refs never picked back up flags after they throw them. Even worst is, they acting like it's never been done at the end of games.

But what do you expect. This is ESPN/NFLN where how they see these games is how everyone esle should see them.

Enjoy the win .. think the refs were in position to make what they thought was the right call. Why are you not bitching about the leg whip on Johnson or Talib grabbing Smittys face mask?

Of course I did say the Patriots played dirty in the OP.  Also, I was very happy to see CJ come back on the field.  I much rather have him healthy again, even more than a win last night.  It's awesome we got both.

First off, whatever bear hug you saw happen outside of the goal line. Grun overan his play and Kuechly was right with him. You could see from the tape that Kuechly and Grunt so called hug happened outside of the endzone and the ball was like 6 feet infront of him.

Answer me this question, do you think if Cam was on the other side of the throw instead of Brady the media would have been carrying on the way they are? If you answer is NO, then there is no controversy. We cannot keep living and judging every outcome of a game based on the mindset and attitudes of those who believe they are the gate-keepers to the NFL.

As far as the media goes, I believe the same fuss would have been made if this happened with Cam and Olsen.  I don't care much about the media going crazy.  I do believe the last play cheapened the game though.  Yet there is no question, Kuechly made illegal contact against Gronk, and had Gronk made any kind of attempt to come back for the ball (or if Brady threw it further in the endzone), Kuechly would have been called for a penalty.  The ball wasn't that far from where the contact occured, it wasn't like Brady threw it to the one yard line, it was in the endzone.

I'll be back to respond to some of the other posts.

The reason people may feel it cheapened the game is because the flag was thrown when it never should have been.

If that flag wasn't thrown in the first place, no one would have been outraged or even thought there was a foul on that play.

So you are saying Gronk didn't get mugged?
